  • Patent number: 9962664
Abstract: A method for operating a steam power plant having a water-steam circuit, according to which method the process wastewater produced is collected from the water-steam circuit, in a separated manner according to the degree of contamination thereof, in a number of partial wastewater quantities is provided. At least a first partial wastewater quantity having a first degree of contamination and at least a second partial wastewater quantity having a second degree of contamination are formed in the process. The second degree of contamination is higher than the first degree of contamination. The first partial wastewater quantity and the second partial wastewater quantity are mixed together in such a manner that a combined process wastewater is produced, which is fed to a wastewater treatment plant.

  • Publication number: 20160208658
Abstract: A fossil-fueled steam power plant and method, the plant has a water-steam circuit, cooling water circuit, flue gas cleaning system and cooling tower. A fossil-fueled steam generator, steam turbine and condenser are connected to the water-steam circuit. In the cooling water circuit, a cooling tower and condenser are connected such that expanded steam is condensed by the exchange of heat with the cooling water circuit. The flue gas from the generator is cleaned in the flue gas cleaning system, and the cleaning system is supplied with process water. Process wastewater leaves the cleaning system. The cleaning system is connected to the cooling water circuit such that process water required for cleaning system is drawn from the cooling water circuit. To remove contaminated process wastewater, the cleaning system is connected to a wastewater treatment system having an evaporator, where system purified process wastewater is generated.

  • Patent number: 6426440
Abstract: The work-up of the gaseous products from the thermal cracking of 1,2-dichloroethane is simplified if the cracking gases are cooled to a temperature range of about 150 to 180° C., only a subsidiary proportion, which comprises all the coke formed, being condensed and fed to a separate work-up.

  • Patent number: 4788358
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of 1,2-dichloroethane from ethylene by reaction with hydrogen chloride and inert gases containing oxygen, and also by reaction with chlorine, is described. The two chlorination reactions are carried out successively at 180.degree. to 360.degree. C. and under a pressure of 0.09 to 1.1 MPa in a common reaction space containing fluidized catalyst particles. A stoichiometric excess of ethylene is employed for the first chlorination reaction. The heat formed in the reaction space is removed by indirect cooling. The process is simple in terms of apparatus and permits a better re-use of the total heat of reaction of the chlorination of ethylene.

  • Patent number: 4329527
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of 1,2-dichloroethane is described, in which 1 mol of ethylene, 0.35 to 0.7 mol of chlorine, 0.7 to 1.4 mol of hydrogen chloride and 0.2 to 0.6 mol of oxygen, optionally together with inert gas, are reacted in a reaction zone containing surfaces capable of being heated and cooled, at 180.degree. to 260.degree. C. and under a pressure of 0.09 to 1.1 MPa, in the presence of a fixed bed catalyst containing copper. The process allows better utilization of the heat generated in the chlorination of ethylene.
