  • Publication number: 20210335149
Abstract: A simulator based training curriculum uses validated metrics for a robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy that appropriately characterize the procedure to be trained. The simulation-based training gives trainees precise feedback on their performance with specific recommendations for improvement, proximate to the performance. Trainees are also provided a quantitative performance benchmark to work toward that provides a valid representation of their skill level in a clinically important performance characteristic or task. The trainee must demonstrate the ability to meet specific performance benchmarks before they are permitted to progress in their training program.

  • Publication number: 20090098187
Abstract: A composition is provided that allows for treatment of cancer, prophylactic treatment, and treatment of infection in the urinary tract. The composition comprises a nitric oxide (NO) eluting polymer that elutes nitric oxide (NO) in a therapeutic dose. The nitric oxide (NO) eluting polymer may be integrated with a carrier material, such that said carrier material, in use, regulates and controls the elution of said therapeutic dosage of nitric oxide (NO). The nitric oxide (NO) eluting polymer may be provided as a Solution or Suspension. Furthermore, a manufacturing method for said composition is disclosed, as well as uses of said composition in the urinary tract.

  • Publication number: 20040045694
Abstract: A method for controlling a molten metal pouring operation is disclosed which works in the presence of unusual pouring conditions such as typically encountered in aluminum casting and utilizes a laser type sensor, for example a triangulation based light section device, to monitor differences between a reference surface and the molten metal in a mold.

  • Patent number: 6149606
Abstract: Device and method for collecting endogenous gaseous nitric oxide (NO), in the urogenital tract, for example in the urinary tract and in the uterus and oviducts. According to one embodiment, a NO permeable, liquid impermeable inflatable body (16) is positioned in the urethra (5) surrounded by the prostate gland (17), whereby an additional inflatable body (4) positioned in the bladder (2) serves to seal off the bladder from the urethra and helps in the positioning of the device. The present invention further relates to a method and a system for use in the diagnosis of inflammatory states in said organs.
