  • Patent number: 4183820
Abstract: This invention relates to an emulsion-breaking composition comprising about 70 to 99.8% by weight of at least one silicon-free demulsifier, and about 0.2 to 30% by weight of a mixed polyoxyalkylene-polysiloxane block polymerizate, the polyoxyalkylene blocks of which have a molecular weight of about 500 to 4000 and are composed of polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene blocks in a weight ratio of 40 to 60 to 100:0, and the polysiloxane blocks of which contain 3 to 50 silicon atoms per block. The invention also includes a process for breaking emulsions using the novel emulsion-breaking composition.

  • Patent number: 4042540
Abstract: In the disclosed foaming process for manufacturing soft polyurethane foams on the basis of polyethers containing at least two hydroxy groups, the foaming is carried out in the presence of selected low-molecular weight, low-viscosity methylpolysiloxanes which do not cause disorders in the boundary regions of the foam or shrinkage.
