  • Patent number: 9571711
Abstract: Power for an illumination device and a camera is provided from power integrated onto a data cable between a controller/computer and the light illumination device. The camera-controller/computer interface includes one of GEV with PoE, USB and CXP, where a power is provided within the data interface cable, and the distance between the camera and the controller/computer is very long. In order to avoid running multiple long cables in a production manufacturing environment, a power extraction module is incorporated into a light illuminator, in order to extract the power for the interface cable, and to generate the individual powers for the light illuminator and the camera. In cases where the interface standard does not provide integrated power, power can be injected to the cable and extracted from the light illumination module. The light illuminator may electrically and mechanically support secondary and/or supplemental light illuminators.

  • Patent number: 9357145
Abstract: The present description describes a method and apparatus for using a single exposure area scan interline transfer CCD imaging devices in TDI scanning mode. The user is enabled to obtain a high resolution area-scan image with very high sensitivity from a conventional interline transfer CCD imager. The user may select the number of TDI stages, and in some cases of multi-tap CCD structures, obtain a two dimensional area-scan image. Utilizing a conventional interline CCD imager for TDI scanning allows a normal image to be produced by switching the mode back and forth between TDI and conventional area scan imaging.

  • Publication number: 20150213838
Abstract: The present description provides a novel Ethernet/IP process or network based video event recording system, which is to be embedded into any production line (conveyor belt), providing a continuous high speed loop recording with a specially designed video recording and viewing software, synchronized with the factory precision time protocol server (IEEE 1588 server), and able to store and retrieve files on or from a remote server. A web based management interface is provided for remote control, as well as to retrieve and view the recorded images and videos. The video recording system is designed to be connected to the factory network and to work seamlessly with the standard factory timing protocols and standards, as well as the standard factory programmable logic controllers.

  • Patent number: 6788338
Abstract: A video signal generating apparatus where the video signal is produced using two different image sensors has been described. The optical beam received from the camera lens is split into two beams via a beam splitter. Each beam is applied to the corresponding color and monochrome image sensors. Both imagers are scanned synchronously, and the corresponding output signals are digitized. The monochrome imager is scanned at a lower frame rate and generates a high-resolution luminance signal YH. The second imager has color filters, arranged as vertical stripes. This imager is scanned at a higher frame rate, faster than the first frame rate, and generates a set of two low-resolution color difference signals CR and CB, and one low-resolution luminance signals YL. At frame 1 both image sensors are scanned, at frames 2 and 3 only the color sensor is scanned, at frame 4 both image sensors are scanned, at frames 5 and 6 only the color sensor is scanned, at frame 7 both image sensors are scanned, and so on.
