  • Patent number: 8079399
Abstract: A high-speed industrial door includes a door leaf having a plurality of stiffening profiles and a flexible curtain. Each stiffening profile extends crosswise relative to a lateral passing over the door leaf and connects two hinge elements assigned to one another. A flexible curtain is fixed to each stiffening profile. This makes it possible to provide a high-speed industrial door that can be operated at speeds faster than 3 m/s while involving little engineering complexity and low costs.

  • Publication number: 20070062650
Abstract: The invention relates to the a rolling shuttered door (1), in particular, to a fast-moving industrial door, comprising a door leaf (2) covering the door opening and being guided in lateral guides (3) and being formed, e.g. as an armor of lamellae, flexible hangings etc. Accordingly, the door characterizes itself, in particular, in that the door leaf (2), in a sub-section facing the footprint of the rolling shuttered door (1), is divided in several parts extending in the direction of movement of the rolling shuttered door (1) such that there is provided a peripheral part on both sides being guided in lateral guides (3), and a central part extending between the two peripheral parts and being detachably fixed to the peripheral parts. It is thus achieved that the door leaf and the elements thereof are less susceptible to damage from external impact such as when colliding with a fork-lift truck.

  • Patent number: 7084388
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for automatically actuating a door, in particular a vertical door, which aims to replace to a great extent known signal generation devices or control signal sensors for opening the door or for the security monitoring of the closing motion of the door. This is achieved by a detector of a security system, which is configured as a scanner detector and operates according to reflective principles, for monitoring an area by allocation to one of the ground level aprons of the door, said detector being mounted in the vicinity of a lateral border of the door opening, at a height, which is adjusted to the maximum height of objects supported on the relevant apron that are not to be registered as obstacles. The scanning beam of said detector scans a horizontal fan-shaped area, which covers the relevant apron and has a low vertical depth, determined by the depth of the scanning beam, as the monitoring area.

  • Publication number: 20050269045
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-Speed industrial door comprising a door leaf (2) covering the door opening (2), said door leaf having on both sides a joint hinge (21) with a plurality of hinge elements (2) that are bendably connected to one another and guided in lateral guides by means of rollers (23) which guide the door leaf (2) in a contactless manner. The invention is characterized in that the door leaf (2) has a plurality of stiffening Profiles (25, 26) and a flexible curtain (27), wherein each stiffening Profile (25, 26) extends crosswise relative to the lateral passing over the door leaf (2) and connects two hinge elements (22) assigned to one another, wherein the flexible curtain (27) is fixed to each stiffening Profile (25, 26). This makes it possible to provide a high-Speed industrial door that can be operated at speeds faster than 3 m/s while involving little engineering complexity and low costs.

  • Patent number: 6766845
Abstract: An industrial gate having a gate body covering the gateway and comprising a multiplicity of segments (21) which are interconnected such that they may be oriented at a relative angle and which are formed to be double-walled, wherein the segment walls (211, 212) are interconnected at their longitudinal edges through the intermediary of a respective web (213), which web is formed of a material having a lower heat conductivity than the material of the segment walls (211, 212) so as to establish a thermal separation of the segment walls (211, 212). To this end, one substantially U-shaped profile groove (2111, 2121) each for receiving the edges of the webs (213) is formed at the longitudinal edges of the segment walls (211, 212), and one elastomer plastic element (214) each is arranged between the edges of the webs (213) and the inner surface of the profile groove (2111, 2121) in a press-fit, i.e., under deformation of the plastic element (214) in comparison with the load-free state.

  • Publication number: 20030066252
Abstract: A gate arrangement for closure of a passageway between rooms with markedly different temperatures, such as the passageway of a freezer-room. Two door curtains are arranged parallel to one another, with each being capable of closing the passageway independently of the other. The door curtains have an abutting insulating air buffer between them, wherein at least one of the door curtains can be motor-driven at such a speed that it is suitable as a temporary high-speed closure between successive passages or transits therethrough. The two door curtains together with the insulating air buffer develop the insulation effect required to maintain the desired cooling temperature. Thus, frequent stocking of the room is possible while compromise of the climate in such rooms during stocking operations is kept to the minimum possible.

Abstract: The invention relates to an industrial gate having a gate body covering the gateway and comprising a multiplicity of segments (21) which are interconnected such that they may be oriented at a relative angle. The segments (21) comprise two profile members (211, 212) extending over the length of the segments (21) and an insert panel (213) which is arranged between these and optionally is translucent, wherein the profile members (211, 212) each have a substantially U-shaped profile groove for receiving the longitudinal edges of the insert panel (213), and wherein one respective elastomer plastic element (214, 215) each is arranged between the longitudinal edges of the insert panel (213) and the inner surface of the profile groove in a press-fit, i.e., under deformation of the plastic element (214, 215) in comparison with the load-free state. The industrial gate in accordance with the invention is characterized in that the gate body—while maintaining the suitability for an external closure as known, e.g.
