  • Patent number: 7113768
Abstract: The invention relates to a method in a wireless communications system (WCS) of controlling charging procedures for message services which enable transport of messages from a mobile station (MS) to a service center (SC), the method comprising transporting a message from the mobile station (MS) for example via a network node (MSC/VLR) to the service center (SC), temporarily storing the message at the service center (40), sending a first confirmation acknowledging receipt of the message at a service center (SC) to the mobile station (MS), and, if the mobile station (MS) acknowledges receipt of the first confirmation, routing the message from the service center (SC) to a recipient of the message and initiating a charging procedure (CU) for a message. The invention also relates to a network node (MSC/VLR) implementing this method and a wireless communications system (WSC) comprising such a network node (MSC/VLR).

  • Patent number: 7035673
Abstract: The invocation of an intelligent network service in a call handler for calls being routed to mobile stations in a mobile communication network is done in such a way that if a call being handled is a call to be routed to a mobile station, and if it is determined that at least one intelligent network identifier is activated for that mobile station a further comparison of a stored condition parameter of the mobile station with a current value of that mobile station's condition parameter is performed, and where the decision regarding the invocation of an intelligent network service depends on the outcome of such a comparison.

  • Publication number: 20030138092
Abstract: The invocation of an intelligent network service in a call handler for calls being routed to mobile stations in a mobile communication network is done in such a way that if a call being handled is a call to be routed to a mobile station, and if it is determined that at least one intelligent network identifier is activated in said stored information, a further determination may be executed, where said further determination comprises comparing a stored comparison value of a mobile station condition parameter associated with a corresponding condition of the mobile station to which said call being handled is to be routed, with a current value of said mobile station condition parameter of said mobile station, and where said decision regarding the invocation of an intelligent network service depends on the outcome of said comparison.

  • Patent number: 6529732
Abstract: When a mobile station (MS) roams from a first telecommunication network (HPLMN) to a second telecommunication network (VPLMN) some of the features of the services to which the subscriber has subscribed to in the first telecommunication network (HPLMN) are differently implemented in the second network (VPLMN). According to the invention, the subscriber data and/or service data of services or of features of these services which are not supported in the second network (VPLMN) are converted by a conversion means (CM) of a service providing means (ASPM) into a format for a service which is supported in the second network (MSC/VLR′). Preferably, a dynamic updating and conversion can be performed such that the respective data is converted whenever it changes. Functionalities provided by a specific service supported differently in the second network will be provided by a service or a feature of a service which is available in the second network.
