  • Publication number: 20080224616
Abstract: A lamp comprising a cap (6) and a burner (1) attached to the cap, the burner (1) and the cap (6) being connected through a metal part (3), which part engages the burner (1). The metal part (3) has at least two legs (5), preferably three legs (5), such that a portion of each leg engages a corresponding portion of the cap (6). Said corresponding portion is made of synthetic resin material. Said portion of each leg (5) has been heated in order to melt the synthetic resin material and to deform it so as to correspond to the shape of the leg, whereby a mutual engagement of said portion of the leg (5) and said corresponding portion of the cap (6) is obtained.

  • Patent number: 7318571
Abstract: A fixation member, made of a single piece of elastic material, used for mounting an object to a frame, and in particular for mounting an automotive lamp in a reflector housing, includes a first portion and a second portion interconnected by first spring means. The first portion comprise first catch means for engaging with a frame to which the fixation member is to be fixed after the first portion is pushed towards the second portion, while the first spring means pushes the second portion against the frame. The first portion furthermore comprises second catch means for engaging with corresponding catch means of the second portion when the first portion is pushed further towards said second portion against an increasing force of the first spring means, whereby the catch means retracts and thereby disengages from the frame. The second portion is provided with second spring means for abutting against the frame thereby pushing the second portion in a direction away from the frame.

  • Patent number: 7163404
Abstract: In a device for placing a lamp in a reflector, a socket for holding a lamp is provided with a main body part to be brought into contact with the a reflector. The lamp is held with a resilient annular spring secured to the main body part, and with two upright arms provided with clicks, while a back plate is provided with pressure points. When securing the back plate to the reflector, the reference plane is brought into contact with the reflector, and the pressure points, when in contact with the clicks of the socket, displace the clicks in the direction of the reflector over a distance ?x so as to put the annular spring under tension. The distance ?x is such that the annular spring presses the reference plane towards the reflector with a force of at least 5N.

  • Patent number: 6791244
Abstract: An electric lamp (2) with a lamp cap (12) suitable for contacting an external electric contact element (28). The lamp cap comprises contacting means (16) comprising a first contact part (18) connected to a second contact part (20) via a spring (24), thus enabling the second contact part (20) to move transversely with respect to the first contact part (18) and/or the lamp cap (12). Optionally, the first contact part (18) is kept in a fixed position with respect to the lamp cap (12) through the spring force of a further spring (22).
