    Abstract: A monomer having an aniline moiety linked through nitrogen to a dithiocarbamate moiety, e.g. N—(N1,N1-diethyldithiocarbamoylethylamidoethyl)-aniline: Ph-NH—CH2—CH2—NH—CO—CH2—CH2—S—C(?S)—NEt2 can be oxidatively polymerised to produce a polyaniline bearing dithiocarbamate moieties. This can be used as an iniferter, to graft addition polymers onto it.
