Abstract: An image processing apparatus including, an input unit for inputting image data including a document region, a storage for storing the brightness of each pixel on a first main scan line outside the document region, a corrector for correcting the brightness of each pixel on the first main scan line in accordance with the brightness of pixels in a first part and the brightness of pixels in a second part on a second main scan line following the first main scan line, and an edge point detector for detecting an edge point of the document region situated on the second main scan line in accordance with the difference between the brightness of each pixel on the first main scan line corrected and the brightness of each pixel on the second main scan line respectively corresponding to each pixel on the first main scan line.

Abstract: Provided are an image capturing device having an image capturing unit which captures an image, a storage unit which stores the captured image, a wireless communication unit which communicates with a wireless communication terminal via a wireless line, and a detection unit which detects a predetermined condition. Further, the image capturing device has a control unit which restricts access from a wireless communication terminal while maintaining communication between the wireless communication unit and the wireless communication terminal when the detection unit detects the predetermined condition.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus is configured to extract contour information of a medium area from readout image data, and correct distortion of the medium area based on the contour information. The medium area is an area for image data corresponding to a medium serving as a reading target. The image processing apparatus includes an acquiring unit that acquires the readout image data, an extracting unit that extracts the contour information of the medium area from the readout image data, a displaying unit that displays the contour information so as to superpose the contour information on the readout image data, a detecting unit that detects an instruction of changing a position of the contour information. The extracting unit extracts again the contour information by reflecting the instruction of changing, and the displaying unit redisplays the contour information extracted again by the extracting unit.

Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes an RFID (radio frequency identification) detection unit that detects a reading RFID (radio frequency identification) tag disposed to a reading target; an image reading unit that reads an image of the reading target; a diagnosing RFID (radio frequency identification) tag capable of being detected by the RFID detection unit; and an abnormality determination unit that determines abnormality based on a state of detection of the RFID detection unit. When the diagnosing RFID tag is detected at the time the reading RFID tag is not detected by the RFID detection unit, the abnormality determination unit determines abnormality of the reading RFID tag, and when the diagnosing RFID tag is not detected, the abnormality determination unit determines abnormality of the RFID detection unit.

Abstract: An image correction apparatus includes a read image acquiring unit that acquires read image data generated by an imaging device that moves in a sub-scanning direction with respect to a reading medium irradiated with an environmental light to read the reading medium; a selecting unit that selects a correction filter for correcting a pixel of interest in the acquired read image data based on brightness or luminance component of a pixel in a determination filter including the pixel of interest; and a correction unit that corrects tone data of the pixel of interest based on the correction filter selected by the selecting unit. The determination filter includes a plurality of determination filters in which a number of pixels to be used in the sub-scanning direction differs.
