Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus that allows for improving the self-healing capability of a network, wherein the apparatus is adapted to be part of a network (100), like a ZigBee network. The operation apparatus (110) is adapted to operate a network device (101) and comprises a network information providing unit (111), wherein the network information refers to information with respect to maintenance messages (105, 106, 107) sent and/or received by a network device (101) and/or a neighboring network device (103, 104) to maintain the network, a determination unit (112) for determining self-related connection information from the network information, wherein the self-related connection information refers to information on the connection of the network device itself with the network, and a control unit (113) for controlling the network device based on the self-related connection information.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to techniques to extend the time that wireless devices spend in a sleep state. For example, a first wireless device may transmit a poll message to a second wireless device during a current polling period having multiple polling slots allocated to transmissions by the first wireless device. In response to receiving a null response message while there are one or more remaining polling slots allocated to transmissions by the first wireless device, the first wireless device may terminate the current polling period early. Furthermore, an early termination message may be transmitted to the second wireless device to indicate that the first wireless device will not be sending any further transmissions in the current polling period. As such, both wireless devices may then place one or more electronic circuits into a low-power mode prior to a sleep period scheduled to start when the current polling period ends.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that build and publish online documents. Source files of the online documents are automatically built into a book and published on a web site for review. A report regarding the build is provided to the author of the documents. The author can use the report to determine whether the build was successful, and whether manual intervention is necessary. The books are also archived.
