  • Publication number: 20230320512
Abstract: A mountable bracket includes a first leg and a second leg configured to be coupled to a mounting surface, a first sub-leg coupled to the first leg, and a second sub-leg coupled to the second leg. The first leg projects from the mounting surface to define a first engagement surface. The first sub-leg projects from the first leg to define a second engagement surface. The second leg projects from the mounting surface to define a third engagement surface. The second sub-leg projects from the second leg to define a fourth engagement surface. The second engagement surface and the first engagement surface form a first mounting rail having a first rail width. The fourth engagement surface and the third engagement surface form a second mounting rail having the first rail width. The first engagement surface and the third engagement surface form a third mounting rail having a second rail width.

  • Patent number: 11700962
Abstract: A mountable bracket includes a first leg configured to be coupled to a mounting surface, and a first sub-leg coupled to the first leg. The first leg is extended along a first axis and is configured to project from the mounting surface at a first angle to define a first engagement surface. The first sub-leg projects from the first leg at a second angle to define a second engagement surface. The second engagement surface and at least a portion of the first engagement surface form a first mounting rail configured to mate with a first attachment structure having a first opening width. The first engagement surface and a third engagement surface of a second leg form a second mounting rail configured to mate with a second attachment structure having a second opening width. The second opening width is greater than the first opening width.

  • Patent number: 7269534
Abstract: An information handling system is provided with a BIOS and a baseboard management controller. The baseboard management controller is provided with non-standard functionality that enables the BIOS to request sensor data records of a specific type. Thus the BIOS can ask for specific kinds of sensor data, such as those for memory sensors only.

  • Patent number: 5946469
Abstract: A computer having a peripheral device emulator capable of emulating peripheral devices, thereby allowing a mouse to be physically connected to the computer system and function normally despite not being initialized at the time of system startup or reset. The peripheral device emulator, implemented in the computer system's keyboard controller, operates in conjunction with a password lock mode and also operates at the time of system startup or reset. The peripheral device emulator accepts commands, status requests, and other control signals directed from the CPU and responds appropriately. Initialization commands sent from the CPU are stored for transfer to the emulated peripheral device when the device is physically connected to the computer system.
