Abstract: Holographic Video Microscopy analysis of non-spherical particles is disclosed herein. Properties of the particles are determined by application of light scattering theory to holography data. Effective sphere theory is applied to provide information regarding the reflective index of a sphere that includes a target particle. Known particles may be co-dispersed with unknown particles in a medium and the holographic video microscopy is used to determine properties, such as porosity, of the unknown particles.

Abstract: A continuous time delta sigma modulator includes a quantizer and a reference module. The quantizer includes: a first comparator that generates a first digital output based on a comparison of a first reference potential with an input generated based on a sample of an analog signal; and a second comparator that generates a second digital output based on a comparison of a second reference potential with the input generated based on the sample of the analog signal. The reference module varies the first and second reference potentials based on the first and second digital outputs.

Also included is a method for automatically updating the prices for all other outcomes, other than the outcome, i, based at least in part on a second formula. In one example, the financial products include contracts in a one-sided market of buyer participants where the outcomes are mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive.

Abstract: The present invention relates to cosmetic compositions containing an amidine, an alkane polyol having a ClogP of from +0.2 to +1.55 and water. The present invention also relates to methods of using such cosmetic compositions to regulate hair growth and the condition of mammalian skin. Said methods generally comprise the step of topically applying the composition to the skin of a mammal needing such treatment, a safe and effective amount of such compositions.
