  • Patent number: 11613142
Abstract: A wheel hub assembly assembly having a central axis (X) and covers therefore. An outer ring provided with a tubular mounting portion, and a cover having a keying portion which is inserted inside the tubular mounting portion. The cover is made of plastic material, the keying portion comprises an annular seat made of plastic and a sealing element made of rubbery elastic material. The sealing element is defined by a solid of rotation mounted inside the annular seat over a whole of an axial length of the annular seat so as to project radially outside of the annular seat to make contact with the tubular mounting portion of the outer ring thereby sealingly closing the wheel hub assembly.

  • Patent number: 11365761
Abstract: Bearing unit provided with at least one ring of rolling bodies and, for retaining the rolling bodies, at least one retaining cage which has a cage bar, a plurality of circumferentially spaced cage arms that extend from one side of the cage bar, and a plurality of partially spherical cavities for retaining the rolling bodies; contact points between the rolling bodies and the cage being positioned in the vicinity of a polar region of each rolling body. The minimum number of contact surfaces for containing the rolling bodies in the direction of rotation of the bearing and ensuring contact only in the polar region is equal to two for each rolling body, namely one upper contact surface and one lower contact surface.

Date of Patent: June 21, 2022
Inventors: Philip Engelen, Marco Gemello, Francesco Lamboglia, Giorgio Missiaggia
  • Patent number: 11035409
Abstract: A bearing unit having at least one row of rolling bodies; and at least one cage for retaining a respective one of the at least one row of rolling bodies. The at least one cage comprising at least one base bar, a plurality of arms circumferentially spaced apart and extending from one side of the base bar, and a plurality of partially spherical cavities for retaining the respective one of the at least one row of rolling bodies. The respective row of rolling bodies and the at least one cage are in contact with each other along contact points positioned near a polar region of the respective one of the at least one row of rolling bodies, so that an angular distance (?) of the contact points with respect to an equator of the respective one of the at least one row of rolling bodies is between 40° and 75°.
