  • Patent number: 8920142
Abstract: A sealing liner for use in a pump motor incorporates a radially enlarged portion at one end, and a radially smaller portion extending from the one end to an opposed end. A length of the overall sealing liner including the radially smaller portion and the radially enlarged portion is defined as a first length. A length of said radially enlarged portion is defined as a second length. A ratio of the first length to the second length is between about 6.5 and about 8.5. A stator assembly, a pump and a method are also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 28, 2012
Date of Patent: December 30, 2014
    Assignee: Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation
Inventors: Philip Gillingwater, Aaron M. Finke
  • Patent number: 8653798
Abstract: A generator includes a rotor structure has a rotor frame that supports a rotor circuit. The rotor frame is electrically connected to the rotor circuit via a resistive element.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 18, 2011
Date of Patent: February 18, 2014
    Assignee: Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation

  • Patent number: 7944100
Abstract: A rectifier assembly includes first and second housings surrounding a pair of electrical rings. Each of the electrical rings communicates with a pin. Bolts secure a spring to hold diodes against an inner wall of the electrical rings. The first housing includes openings opposed to the bolts to allow access to the bolts for tightening the bolts to hold the spring, and bias the diodes against the inner periphery of the electrical rings. A rotor balance assembly, a generator, and a method of assembling a rectifier assembly are also disclosed and claimed.
