  • Patent number: 11919354
Abstract: The present invention relates to a control system (49) for controlling a target ride height of a vehicle (1). The control system (49) is configured to set a target off-road ride height (hOFF) in dependence on one or more vehicle operating parameters. The target off-road ride height (hOFF) is set upon receipt of a driving mode signal signalling that an off-road driving mode has been selected. • Patent number: 10730361
Abstract: A control system for a suspension height adjustment mechanism of a vehicle. The suspension height adjustment mechanism comprises a front suspension height adjustment mechanism at a front end of the vehicle and a rear suspension height adjustment mechanism at a rear end of the vehicle. The control system is configured to control the suspension height adjustment mechanism in response to user-generated control signals to: increase the height of at least the rear end of the vehicle to a first predetermined vehicle height corresponding to a High tow hitch height; and decrease the height of at least the rear end of the vehicle to a second predetermined vehicle height corresponding to a Low tow hitch height. • Patent number: 10300758
Abstract: A ride-height adjustment system for a vehicle. The system has a first detector, to detect a preliminary end-of-journey (EOJ) event, such as seat belt unbuckling or ignition switch-off. A controller adjusts the vehicle's suspension system in a first movement in response to detection of the preliminary EOJ event, to change the ride height of the vehicle towards an access ride height of the vehicle. The access ride height is a predetermined ride height that facilitates egress from and entrance to the vehicle. A second detector detects opening of a door of the vehicle. When the ride height of the vehicle remains different from the access ride height after the first movement, the controller adjusts the suspension system in a second movement in response to the door-opening detection. This further changes the ride height of the vehicle towards the access ride height of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8944401
Abstract: In a vehicle an auxiliary machine (13) such as an air compressor is physically associated with the vehicle battery (12). The battery provides for substantial additional mass which resists transmission of noise and vibration from the small machine to the vehicle structure (11). • Patent number: 5161504
Abstract: A dual mode electrically operated servo-actuator with a motorized speed reducer rotating a pair of spaced discs each having a pair of common spiral cam tracks. A sliding carrier block disposed between the discs has cam followers separately engaging the track. A bell crank is pivoted on the carrier block for attachment to a load function. In the rotary mid-position, the carrier block is centered and the servo motor is not used to enable a fixed position of the bell crank pivot. In a first mode function the motor is driven to rotate the cam for modulation about positions between the mid-position and fully clockwise position. In a second mode function the motor is driven to rotate the cam for modulation about positions between the mid-position and the fully counter-clockwise position. In a throttle actuator application the first mode is cruise control and the second mode is traction control, with the mid-position comprising normal driver operation of the throttle.
