  • Patent number: 6119288
Abstract: A play pen with an inflatable base having a bottom and at least three outer edges; inflatable side walls equal in number to the number of outer edges on the base, with a first side wall connected to one outer edge of the base, and the first two remaining side walls attached to each side of the first side wall, and all the side walls being removably attachable at their bottoms to a corresponding outer edge of the base, leaving two side walls as distal end side walls each being removably attachable to the other; base supports and side supports to provide structural integrity to the play pen; and a removable canopy on top of the play pen held by canopy connectors on the side supports.

  • Patent number: 3990663
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a pedestal base system for furniture in which base portions formed of pairs of duplex legs are easily assembled in interlocking splined fashion to form various base configurations for different articles of furniture. The vertical runs of each leg in a pair are welded to connctor tubes with the vertical axes of the connected vertical runs and tubes being in the same plane. The connector diameter and the diameter of the vertical tubular runs are dimensioned so that the legs in each leg pair are spaced from the legs in the other pair to provide clearance to facilitate assembly. The connector tubes of each leg pair are at a different vertical height and receive a vertical locking bolt or locking tube to secure the leg pairs in assembly. The leg pairs are easily assembled at the site by sliding the pairs together in the manner of a splined connection.

  • Patent number: 3945328
Abstract: The crank arm of a hinge lock mechanism acts as an over-center latch for a folding leg when the leg is in its extended position perpendicular to the table top and also in its retracted position parallel to the table top. The crank arm is pivotally connected at one end to a support plate on the bottom of the table and is pivotally linked to a support arm on the folding leg. When the crank arm is rotated downwardly, it moves the folding leg far enough away from an apron or abutment so that the leg can be manually swung from its extended position to its retracted position and vice versa. The crank arm is subsequently rotated back to its upper limit in either case to latch the leg in position. The hinge lock mechanism is entirely hidden from view by aprons when the table is upright.
