  • Patent number: 6678239
Abstract: A hermetically sealed package for an optical media disk includes an oxygen impermeable base and an oxygen impermeable cover layer superposed on the base. The base includes a central portion thereof spaced from the cover layer to form an enclosing chamber for the disk. The cover layer is sealed to the base by a circular seal defining a periphery of the enclosing chamber.

  • Patent number: 4903829
Abstract: A container for a compact disc containing encoded musical selections is provided. The container has a base portion and a lid portion releasably connected to each other by cooperating latch elements. Annular protrusions are provided in the base portion to seat and to position the disc, and an annular ring is provided in an adjacent area of the lid portion in order to hold down the disc in the container, whereby radial and axial displacement of the disc within the container is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4821438
Abstract: A support assembly for facilitating the hanging or display of a picture, preferably provided in the form of an unassembled kit, includes a plurality of separate relatively rigid elongate channel-like grid members preferably identical in construction and a plurality of attachment members preferably in the form of double-sided, acid free adhesive strips for attaching the grid members to the back of a picture. Each grid member has a plurality of slots defined at uniformly spaced locations therealong for facilitating the breaking off of an end portion thereof to provide the grid member matched in length to a dimension, such as the length of width, of the picture. A plurality of spaced apart rupturable webs are provided which span each slot and integrally interconnect portions of the grid member that define opposite sides of each slot so as to reinforce the grid members at the locations of the slots.

  • Patent number: 4627532
Abstract: A digital audio disk enclosure is disclosed, having a semi-rigid generally rectangular top and bottom portions, with sided disposed about the periphery of the top and bottom portions to form an enclosed space therebetween. An elongated aperature is disposed through one side, of a size sufficient to pass a digital audio disk therethrough. Guide means are disposed within the enclosed space in aligned spaced relation substantially along the aperature side and one adjoining side. A flexible closure strip is disposed within the guide means, with a tab disposed near one end of the closure strip, suitable to be manually biased between open and closed positions. Ribs, inclined ramps, or guide means extending above top portion and below bottom portion are disclosed for ease of removing the digital audio disk from the enclosure. The digital audio disk enclosure is preferably sized to receive a pamphlet and a digital audio disk within the enclosed space.

  • Patent number: 4627531
Abstract: A recording disc enclosure is disclosed, having semi-rigid top and bottom portions, with adjoining sides forming an enclosed space therebetween. An aperature sized to pass a recording disc therethrough is disposed through one side of the enclosure. A closure strip is disposed to cover the aperature in the closed position, and to be manually biased along a top and bottom guide path to extend substantially beyond the profile of the enclosure in the open position. The closure strip, when in the open position may be biased to rotate approximately 90 degrees to an open position in alignment with one of the sides adjoining the aperture side. Top or bottom portions of the enclosure may be transparent to provide a visual indication of the contents of the enclosure. Alternately visual symbols may be disposed upon the top or bottom portion of the enclosure, and preferably upon at least one side, to provide identification of the contents of the enclosure.
