  • Publication number: 20040227538
Abstract: A test apparatus for testing and evaluating voltage regulator assemblies to obtain both static and dynamic output characteristics includes a printed circuit board 32, power delivery pad contacts 34 and dynamic test circuitry 36. The power delivery pad contacts 34 are configured to make electrical contact with the output compliant contacts 33 of a transition connector assembly 17 or directly to the contacts of a VRM. In addition, the dynamic test circuitry 36 can be located in the same or nearly the same location as the device that will receive the power from the VRM 16 when in actual use.

  • Patent number: 6754086
Abstract: A synchronous voltage regulation circuit having an energy storage circuit for controlling the output signal is disclosed. The voltage regulation circuit includes a circuit which advantageously uses leakage inductance from loose coupling of input and output inductors to control regulator switching.

  • Patent number: 5684684
Abstract: A controller for controlling the frequency of an oscillator associated with establishing the switching frequency of a PWM power supply. Each one of a plurality of PWM power supplies are connected through a common bus to a bi-directional connection on the controller. The controller has an internal comparator which compares its associated oscillator frequency with the frequency on the common bus. If the frequency of its associated oscillator is lower than the frequency on the bus then the controller increases its associated oscillator frequency to the the bus frequency. If the frequency on the bus is less than the frequency of its associated oscillator then the controller elevates the bus frequency to its associated oscillator frequency. In this manner, the power supply associated with the oscillator having the highest frequency establishes the master frequency and all other oscillators are slaves. The controller can be either capacitively or DC coupled to its associated oscillator.

  • Patent number: 5134558
Abstract: A hand holdable flashing light assembly. Preferably, the assembly has a xenon bulb which is held in a case and which is powered by a battery and controlled through a circuit which provides a periodic charge through the xenon bulb. The case preferably has a lens on both sides, which lenses may be of different colors. The light can be easily held in the palm of the hand, and by turning the light around, a different color may be provided on one side as compared to the other side.
