  • Patent number: 10310882
Abstract: In the various aspects, virtualization techniques may be used to improve performance and reduce the amount of power consumed by selectively enabling a hypervisor operating on a computing device during sandbox sessions. In the various aspects, a high-level operating system may allocate memory such that its intermediate physical addresses are equal to the physical addresses. When the hypervisor is disabled, the hypervisor may suspend second stage translations from intermediate physical addresses to physical addresses. During a sandbox session, the hypervisor may be enabled and resume performing second stage translations.

Inventors: Thomas Zeng, Azzedine Touzni, Philip Mueller, Jr., Piyush Patel
  • Publication number: 20170138044
Abstract: A prefabricated building element is configured to be connected to a lateral side of a prefabricated building structure for forming a part of a building such that the building element forms a wall or a roof slab or a floor slab of a building. The building element includes a wooden core arranged adjacent to at least one insulating layer, and at least one engagement means for later engagement with the prefabricated building structure by means of a connecting device, wherein the building structure is a prefabricated module or another prefabricated building element.

  • Patent number: 9396070
Abstract: Systems and methods for external access detection and recovery in a subsystem of a system-on-a-chip (SoC) in a portable computing device (PCD) are presented. In operation, a subsystem of the SoC is operated in an internal mode independently of the SoC while the SoC is in a low power state, such as a non-functional or zero power state or mode. The subsystem comprises a processor in communication with a memory, a sensor, and a monitor module. The monitor module detects when the processor of the subsystem requests access to a component external to the subsystem. In response to this detected request, the SoC is caused to enter into a full power state or mode, and the subsystem is caused to exit the internal mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 9352899
Abstract: A transport unit for carrying a plurality of lidded containers includes two parallel retaining plates, which have an arrangement of openings for retaining the lidded containers. The lidded containers are tubular containers with a closure lid at the top of the container which projects radially outward with respect to the container. Lidded containers of a group of lidded containers are held parallel to each other by the openings of one retaining plate, and lidded containers of another group of lidded containers are held parallel to each other by openings of the other retaining plate. The lidded containers of the one group are disposed oppositely aligned to the lidded containers of the other group and nested within each other.
