  • Patent number: 11861724
Abstract: A driving accident simulation, having a virtual- or augmented-reality user interface, may be used to inform a driver of the driver's potential liability under different insurance options. The simulation may determine damages caused by the simulated accident, and identify multiple insurance options and the resulting user liability under each option. The simulation may also be used to assess an insurance adjuster's ability to estimate damages from an accident, by receiving the adjuster's estimate and comparing it to the simulation's own estimate of damages. In some embodiments, the simulation may present a driver with a simulated view from a point of view of another party to the simulated accident.

  • Patent number: 11854089
Abstract: A driving accident simulation, having a head-wearable user interface (e.g., a head-worn virtual-reality display), may be used to inform a driver of the driver's potential liability under different insurance options. • Patent number: 11847667
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, systems, and apparatuses for determining a safest road segment for traveling between two locations are provided. In some cases, a road segment safety rating may be determined for a plurality of road segments between the two locations based on historical data associated with the road segments and/or based on driving behavior data of an operator of the vehicle. An indication of the road segment determined as being the safest may be provided to the operator of the vehicle. An actual route of travel of the vehicle may be compared to the safest route. If the actual route of travel is different from the determined safest route, the operator may be notified that an award may be earned when the determined safest route is traveled. If the actual route of travel is determined to be safer than the determined safest route, an award may be earned.

  • Publication number: 20230368587
Abstract: One or more driving analysis computing devices in a driving analysis system may be configured to analyze driving data, determine driving behaviors, and determine whether a collision is imminent or has occurred using vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications. Determination of whether a collision has occurred may be based on X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis positional data from two vehicles. Driving data from multiple vehicles may be collected by vehicle sensors or other vehicle-based systems, transmitted using V2V communications, and then analyzed and compared to determine various driving behaviors by the drivers of the vehicles.

  • Patent number: 11808604
Abstract: One or more devices in a data analysis computing system may be configured to receive and analyze movement data, and determine driving trips associated driving data based on the received movement data. Movement data may be collected by one or more mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablet computers, and the like. One or more driving trips may be identified based on the movement data collected by the mobile devices, including acceleration data, speed data, and rotation rate data. After identifying a driving trip, the previously collected movement data and/or additional driving data may be analyzed to determine additional driving trip data, such as the driver, vehicle, and/or additional driving factors.

  • Patent number: 11721340
Abstract: A personal information assistant computing system may include a user computing device having a processor and a non-transitory memory device storing instructions. The personal information assistant may receive a user accessible input as a natural language communication from the user, which may be analyzed by a personal information assistant to determine a task to be performed by the virtual information assistant. The personal information assistant may be personalized to the user using encrypted user information. The personal information assistant communicates with a remote computing system in performance of a computer-assisted task, wherein the first personal information assistant interacts as a proxy for the user in response to at least one response received from the remote computing system. The personal information assistant may communicate the results of the task to the user via a user information screen and/or an audio device.

  • Patent number: 11715161
Abstract: An automated safety notification system is proposed herein in which one or more safe zone access points may be physically deployed to one or more safe zones associated with a disaster area. If a person with a mobile phone or other mobile device enters the safe zone, the safe zone access point may detect the presence of the mobile device and perform certain functions in response to the detection. For example, the safe zone access point may initiate contact of a predetermined plurality of contacts that the person may have already designated before the disaster. The safe zone access point may also be used to initiate an insurance claim.

  • Patent number: 11625791
Abstract: Systems and methods provide for an automated system for analyzing damage to process claims associated with an insured item, such as a vehicle. An enhanced claims processing server may analyze damage associated with the insured item using photos/video transmitted to the server from a user device (e.g., a mobile device). The enhanced claims processing server may submit a signal that locks one or more portions of an application on the mobile device used to submit the photos/videos. The mobile device may receive feedback from the server regarding the acceptability of submitted photos/video. The photos may further be annotated using, for example, a touch screen display. An estimate, such as a cost estimate, may be determined for the damage associated with the insured item based on the photos and/or annotations.

  • Publication number: 20220284514
Abstract: One or more driving analysis computing devices in a driving analysis system may be configured to collect vehicle driving data and infrastructure data in response to a collision. Vehicle driving data may be received from a first vehicle involved in the collision and a second vehicle involved in the collision. Vehicle driving data may be received for vehicles within a defined radius of the first vehicle and/or the second vehicle. Infrastructure data from infrastructure elements within a defined vicinity of the first vehicle and/or the second vehicle may be received. The received data may be used to initiate an insurance claim, assess fault for the collision, and detect fraudulent claims.

  • Patent number: 11348170
Abstract: Systems and methods in accordance with arrangements described herein can include identifying a variety of accounts associated with a user and determining a set of actions that can be taken with respect to the accounts. For instance, upon death of a user, a predetermined set of actions can be executed to transfer one or more assets as defined in a digital will. The accounts can be identified by scanning one or more accounts associated with the user. The accounts associated with the user and/or the account actions for the accounts can be automatically maintained over time. On an account transfer event, each of the accounts can be automatically transferred and/or closed in accordance with the determined account actions. In many embodiments, a password manager is maintained to facilitate the review of accounts and the performance of the appropriate actions on the occurrence of a transfer event.
