  • Patent number: 9618737
Abstract: An illuminator for an imaging system using a spatial light modulator has first color laser light directed by a dichroic element to a first annular band on a rotatable member. The first band includes phosphor segments that respond to illumination by the first color light to emit second and third color light along a first path back to the dichroic element for output, and a light transmitting or reflecting segment that transmits or reflects the first color along the same or a second path back to the dichroic element for output. The output light is directed to a second annular band on the same or a different rotatable member. The second band includes filter segments corresponded to respectively selectively filter output light generated by the first band segments.

  • Patent number: 8963838
Abstract: An interactive display projection system, includes a pointing device which determines a location on the projected display indicated by the pointing device using a combination of a location signal in the display captured by the pointing device and optical mouse circuitry to determine motion of the pointing device when the pointing device is close to the projected display. In another embodiment, the pointing device also includes an inertial sensor and associated circuitry which detects linear accelerations and rotational rates to determine motion and orientation of the pointing device, which are also used to determine the location on the projected display indicated by the pointing device.

  • Patent number: 8947475
Abstract: A process of operating a PWM display system wherein some display data bits are assigned substantially equal time weights. Display data codewords are defined for every pixel intensity value to form display data codeword tables so that there are at least as many display data codeword tables as the number of display data bits with substantially equal time weights. The display pixel is subsequently operated in a digital manner according to the display data codeword in the selected display data codeword table to display a desired pixel intensity value. The display data codeword tables are configured so that immediately adjacent display pixels are operated so that identical pixel intensity values are displayed with different temporal sequences.

  • Patent number: 5600775
Abstract: Full motion digital video frames, or other indexed data structures, are annotated with text, graphics, and digital audio without modifications to the original video information. The video and annotations are stored separately. An indexing scheme relates the annotations to the video frames. On full motion video playback, the annotations are displayed on the originally annotated frames. The technique involves displaying the file of indexed data structures using a file display routine, and selecting in response to user input an indexed data structure to be annotated from the file of indexed data structures being displayed. Next, an annotation data structure is created in response to user input using an annotation routine without modifying the selected data structure. The annotation data structure includes a graphical element for display overlaying the selected data structure and an indication of an index value for the selected data structure.
