    Abstract: Digestion of cellulosic biomass solids may be complicated by release of lignin therefrom. Methods and systems for processing a reaction product containing lignin-derived products, such as phenolics, can comprise hydrotreating the reaction product to convert the lignin-derived products to desired higher molecular weight compounds. The methods can further include separating the higher molecular weight compounds from unconverted products, such as unconverted phenolics, and recycling the unconverted phenolics for use as at least a portion of the digestion solvent and for further conversion to desired higher molecular weight compounds with additional hydrotreatment.

    Abstract: A vehicle door includes an inner panel, an outer panel operatively connected to the inner panel, and an impact beam. At least a portion of the impact beam is outboard of the outer panel to enable a thinner and more compact door compared to prior art doors. A rub strip is preferably attached to the impact beam to form a preformed part. The rub strip protects the door from damage resulting from minor impacts and conceals the impact beam from view.

The vehicle power window and power door lock system further includes a single reversible electric motor in the pillar adapted for selective engagement with a front window on an adjacent front door and a rear window on an adjacent rear door for driving the windows up and down. A vehicle side door assembly includes a door lock latch assembly, a latch rod operatively connected to the latch assembly, a window, and a driven gear operatively connected to the window. The latch rod is operably connectable to a lock actuation assembly located in a body pillar adjacent to the door when the door is positioned against the body pillar.

    Abstract: An adjustable armrest system for use in a vehicle includes an armrest having a support portion which is adjustably connected to the vehicle body. The support portion is pivotally mounted to the vehicle body for movement between a first position in which the support portion is generally horizontal and presents itself for use by a vehicle occupant and a second position in which the support portion is stowed in a generally vertical position so as to provide more space to the vehicle occupant. Preferably, the armrest is flush with the vehicle body when stowed in the second position. The armrest may be power-operated by a power mechanism including a motor and at least one linkage.
