  • Publication number: 20230396950
Abstract: A more efficient rendering of audio objects, which allows 3D panning, is achieved by performing the panning into two stages, namely at least one horizontal in-layer panning leading to a first virtual (speaker) position and a second virtual or real (speaker) position, which is vertically offset, and another panning vertically between the two positions. Although acting in such a manner seems to increase the computational complexity, this staged processing increases, in fact, the stability of the rendering and the location of the intended virtual position. Moreover, the staged processing, enables to perform, according to an embodiment, the panning by use of amplitude panning gains only, i.e. phase processing is not necessary, thereby rendering the computational complexity low. Even further, the rendering is flexible with respect to applicability to a variety of loudspeaker setups.

  • Patent number: 11200917
Abstract: A system and method for automatically creating a video of a journey includes at least one computer unit and at least one vehicle. The vehicle has at least one sensor which is configured to continuously detect technical driving parameters of the vehicle. The vehicle also has at least one video camera which is configured to continuously record video sequences of a predefinable length. The computer unit is configured to process each of the video sequences with respect to the detected technical driving parameters and also to tag each of the processed video sequences with reference to predefinable criteria. The computer unit is configured to automatically create a video including a predefinable number of suitably tagged video sequences.

  • Patent number: 10863276
Abstract: A soundbar includes a housing, at least two transducers of a first group and at least one transducer of a second group. The at least two transducers of the first group are arranged at the front side of the housing and configured to emit sound in a first direction in accordance with two first audio signals so as to reproduce a two dimensional sound field. The at least one transducer of a second group is arranged at second side of the housing and configured to emit sound in a second direction in accordance with a second audio signal such that the sound emitted by the at least one transducer of the second group reaches a predefined listener's position in a reflected manner to extend the two dimensional sound field in a height direction. The reflection reflecting the sound emitted by the at least one transducer of the second group has an order of at least two.

  • Patent number: 10306358
Abstract: A calculation unit for a sound system includes an input terminal, a processor and an output terminal. The input terminal has the purpose to receive an audio stream to be reproduced using the sound system. The output terminal has the purpose to control the sound system based on a first and a second plurality of individual audio signals. The processor is configured to calculate the first plurality of audio signals such that beamforming is performed by the array and to calculate the second plurality of individual audio signals to perform, using the sound system, direct sound suppression such that sound is canceled towards a listening direction. Furthermore, the processor filters at least the second plurality using a second passband characteristic including a second portion of the entire frequency range.
