  • Patent number: 11841768
Abstract: The Multi-Client Backup Deduplication Apparatuses, Methods and Systems (“MCBD”) transforms backup request, restore request, virtual machine initialization request inputs via MCBD components into backup response, restore response, virtual machine initialization response outputs. A backup request identifying a source volume is obtained. The source volume's master file table is retrieved and a file entry is selected. File data runs associated with the selected entry are determined. The file is reassembled in a buffer and split into file chunks Upon determining that a file chunk is not indexed in a chunk index, the file chunk is stored on a target volume and indexed in the chunk index. File chunk slice datastructures that map source volume offset location of file data on the source volume to the corresponding file chunk offset location of that file data in the file chunk on the target volume are generated and stored in a manifest file.

  • Patent number: 10872016
Abstract: Integrated File Sharing and Synchronization (FSS) and Backup Management and Storage (BMS) in a network appliance deployed behind a firewall and within a private trusted Local Area Network (LAN). The appliance processes backup image files of a LAN server's file system to generate fully constructed backup recovery points for the LAN server. Logical blocks for backup image files and associated recovery points may be stored locally on the appliance and redundantly in a trusted cloud domain, and a hypervisor on the appliance provides virtualization of the LAN server based on backup recovery points. A relay server cluster in the cloud facilitates reliable and secure access to the FSS services by remote client devices beyond the firewall, without changing fire wall rules, by employing HTTPS between remote client devices and the relay server cluster, and Secure Shell (SSH) tunneling between the cluster and the appliance behind the firewall.

  • Patent number: 10860442
Abstract: Disclosed systems, methods, and computer readable media relate to business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR). According to some embodiments, disclosed systems, methods, and computer readable media can replicate a set of data blocks from a source computer to a target computer while the source computer is in operation and contents of the set of data blocks are changing. In some embodiments, disclosed systems, methods, and computer readable media can replicate a set of data blocks from a recovery computer to a target computer while the recovery computer is in operation and contents of the set of data blocks are changing, wherein the recovery computer is built from a protected computer.

  • Patent number: 10795688
Abstract: A target device operating on a first operating system can receive an incremental update for a second operating system and store in a first data set a snapshot of the second the second operating system based on the incremental update. The target device may then export an image of the second operating system to a second data set and boot into the second image. The target device may receive operating system updates, build operating system images in the background, and boot into the updated operating system when the process is complete. Storing snapshots of the incremental updates and previous operating system images allows for reversion to old operating systems.
