  • Patent number: 7017474
Abstract: An extraction device for producing coffee for a coffee machine is equipped with a brewing cylinder (2) for receiving coffee powder. The brewing cylinder is reciprocably adjustable between pre-determined positions along its axial direction in co-operation with a drive mechanism (4). Two pistons (31, 32) that are coaxially adjustable relative to one another, are located in the brewing cylinder (2). The brewing cylinder (2) incorporates a cylinder section (20), and an additional part (22) is also envisaged. The additional part (22) is moveably located at an end of the brewing cylinder (2) that can be closed by the first piston (31) and equipped with a filler opening (24) for the insertion of the coffee powder. In this way the length of the extraction device can be shortened.

  • Publication number: 20050109214
Abstract: The invention concerns a coffee machine with a cylinder piston brewing unit (49) for the brewing of ground coffee as well as a coffee outlet head (1), from which coffee can be dispensed from the cylinder piston unit (49) as well as from a capsule brewing unit (50) for the brewing of capsules with pre-ground coffee installed within the outlet head (1). It is therefore possible to easily and simply make coffee with little mechanical effort as desired or required in the conventional way with the cylinder brewing unit (49) as well as with capsules of pre-ground coffee with an aggregate (50) especially adapted for this purpose.

  • Publication number: 20050109223
Abstract: An extraction means for the producing of coffee for a coffee machine is equipped with a brewing cylinder (2) for the receiving of coffee powder, whereby the same is reciprocably adjustable between pre-determined positions in its axis direction in co-operation with a drive means (4). Two pistons (31, 32) coaxially adjustable relative to one another are located in this brewing cylinder (2). The brewing cylinder (2) incorporates a cylinder section (20), and an additional part (22) is also envisaged. The additional part (22) is moveably located at the end of the brewing cylinder (2) that can be closed by the first piston (31) and equipped with a filler opening (24) for the insertion of the coffee powder. In this way the construction length of the extraction means can be shortened.

  • Patent number: 4511653
Abstract: This process of preparation consists in subjecting said placental tissue after pressing, grinding and washing in a neutral and acid medium to a treatment in alkaline medium at a temperature less than or equal to 10.degree. C. and in then subjecting the portions of collagen solubilized during this treatment, as well as the collagen solutions resulting from an eventual subsequent treatment for the solubilization, at least partial, of the insoluble residue, to purification by chromatography on an anion exchange resin, at a temperature less than or equal to 10.degree. C., followed with fractional precipitation of the collagens by salts in acid medium. The human collagenous materials obtained can be used as biomaterials in biotechnology and in pharmacy and are perfectly immunologically innocuous for the human species.
