  • Patent number: 11681362
Abstract: Described herein are methods and display systems for enhanced eye tracking for display systems, such as augmented or virtual reality display systems. The display systems may include: a light source configured to output light and a moveable diffractive grating configured to reflect light from the light source, the reflected light forming a light pattern on the eye of the user; a plurality of light detectors to detect light reflected from the eye; and one or more processors. The display system changes the orientation of the diffractive grating, such that the light pattern reflected from the diffractive grating is scanned along an axis across the eye. Light intensity patterns are obtained via the light detectors, with a light intensity pattern representing a light detector signal obtained by detecting light reflected off of the eye as the light pattern is scanned across the eye.

  • Publication number: 20210227187
Abstract: Described are two mirror scanning projectors employing a collimated laser beam directed to a first mirror that scans in one direction, an optical relay system, and a second mirror that scans in a perpendicular direction from the first mirror to provide two dimensional scanning of the laser beam.

  • Patent number: 10437071
Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices and methods to provide a display including a projection system and a removable lenses including a holographic optical element to receive light and reflect the light to an exit pupil. Each of the removable lenses may comprise a holographic optical element in a different position of the lens to change the position of the exit pupil. The projection system may project an image onto the holographic optical element to project the image to the exit pupil.

  • Patent number: 10409076
Abstract: A head worn display (HWD) includes a projection system, which projection system in turn may include: a projection surface including a holographic optical element (HOE) centered at a first location; a projector to project light onto a projection area of the projection surface; and a controller to send a control signal to the projector to cause the projector to project an image onto a location shifted from the first location based on a misalignment of a user's line of sight with the first location.
