  • Publication number: 20120067898
Abstract: The invention concerns an insert for a receptacle that is to contain a concentrated product in solid or liquid form, comprising a main part (1) formed by a base (2) extended on the edge by a wall (3) perpendicular to the base, an opening (4) being produced in the base. The invention also concerns a receptacle provided with an insert according to the invention. The objective of the invention is to develop an insert that enables the receptacle to be emptied entirely without leaving dead spaces in which the products to be solubilised may accumulate. This objective is achieved in accordance with the invention because the face of the base (2) intended to be situated in the receptacle after assembly, the so-called internal face, is concave at the opening so that the latter is situated at the bottom of a trough (6). In this way the formation of corners in which the liquid does not circulate, or does not circulate sufficiently, is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20120067428
Abstract: A device for putting in solution a powdery concentrate includes a liquid supply pipe (10), an extraction pipe (30) with a valve (31), and a transfer pipe (40) connected to a junction point, the transfer pipe being for connecting to a receptacle (50) containing the concentrate. The junction point is in the constriction of a venturi tube (20), the supply pipe (10) being connected to the convergent chamber (21), and the extraction pipe (30) to the divergent chamber (22). If the valve (31) is closed, the liquid leaves the venturi tube through the vacuum tapping to enter the receptacle. When the valve (31) is opened, the liquid leaves the venturi tube through the divergence chamber, causing a pressure drop in the vacuum tapping. The saturated liquid contained in the receptacle is then sucked and entrained by the liquid passing through the venturi.

  • Publication number: 20120068455
Abstract: Adapter (3) for connecting a receptacle connector to a connection socket of a dialysis machine, the connector being provided with two fluid lines connecting the inside and outside of the receptacle, the ends of which, open towards the outside, are concentric, the connection socket of the dialysis machine being provided with two fluid lines, the ends of which, open towards the outside, are non-concentric and distant from each other.

  • Patent number: 7828788
Abstract: A connector for connecting a container with a fluid preparation device for preparing a fluid, in particular a container with a concentrate for the preparation of dialysis fluid, as well as the combination of the connector, the corresponding container and the fluid preparation device. In order to simplify the handling during both the manufacturing process of such containers and the connection of such containers to the fluid preparation devices, the connector connects a first and second fluid line of the container with a third and fourth fluid line of the fluid preparation device with two laterally spaced-apart mounting elements which each incorporate one of two orifices terminating the first and second fluid lines.

  • Publication number: 20100016825
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of containers for providing liquid dialysate concentrates for a dialysis treatment of a patient with the aid of an artificial kidney. Up to now such concentrates have been delivered mainly in rigid plastic containers as the weight of the concentrate requires a certain stability of the container. Such containers also simplify the shipping of large loads as they can easily be arranged in layers on top of each other. These rigid containers have the disadvantage that because of their rigidity they are comparatively expensive as the container walls have to be thick enough leading to higher material expenses. Furthermore, the empty containers are bulky making the further processing cumbersome. The large amount of material to be recycled or discarded adds further to the cost. The invention avoids these drawbacks by proposing a container filled with a liquid dialysate concentrate that is a self-standing bag (1) made of flexible elastomeric sheets.

  • Publication number: 20080149515
Abstract: This invention relates to a container having at least one inlet and/or outlet and containing at least two different solids arranged in layers as well as the use of said container for preparing a dialysate. In particular, a flexible bag is described, having three layers of different solids, where the middle layer consists of a solid which is compatible with the two adjacent layers and thus forms a separating layer between the two other layers. The layers are secured in place during shipping by vacuum packing.
