  • Publication number: 20120078328
Abstract: A system and apparatus for treatment of cellular structure anomalies, principally in human patients, utilizes precisely controlled electromagnetic wave energy and electromagnetic field energy. The former energy is generated from a combination of coherent and incoherent light energy which is joined and focused on patients thru a unique arrangement of faceted coated reflectors and filters. The latter energy is generated in part by unique coils surrounding the light sources which include coils wound with bifilar wire. The disclosed apparatus also includes a platform, preferably segmented, that facilitates alignment of a patient's bodily area needing treatment. Additional coils are placed in the platform in strategic locations proximate the area of the patient to be treated. A digital control module can be programmed to regulate the frequency, duration, phase, duty cycle, pulse and amplitude of all energy sources in the claimed systems.

  • Patent number: 6045545
Abstract: A disposable absorbent article of hygiene includes an absorbent pad disposed between an outer support sheet and an inner cover sheet and has two elasticized side flaps fastened to the cover sheet along the lengthwise edges of the article. Each flap is fastened to the cover sheet over the length of the article by a proximal portion of the flap positioned on an inner side of the absorbent pad, and is folded along the lengthwise direction. The flap is also fastened to the cover sheet in the folded state at end regions of the article so that a distal edge of the flap overlaps the proximal edge over the length of the article, and remains unattached in a region between the end regions to form a pouch.

  • Patent number: 5672166
Abstract: An absorbent article of hygiene with a double leakproofing barrier of simple and economical manufacture includes two side flaps (11) secured together at their transverse ends and a lengthwise fold (16) pointing vertically towards the interior, to form an oblong central opening (17) about the absorbent pad (2) which constitutes a peripheral first leakproofing barrier, the two vertical folds themselves constituting a side second leakproofing barrier.

  • Patent number: 5569227
Abstract: A sanitary article of the type comprising an external backing sheet which is impervious to liquids, an absorbing pad, an internal cover sheet pervious to liquids and two side flaps with elastic elements. An additional sheet is arranged under the cover sheet overlapping one transverse edge of the pad, and is connected by gluing to the cover sheet which presents, over the additional sheet, a transverse cutting. An elastic element is passed along the edge of the cutting in order to form a waist sealing pocket open at the cutting.
