  • Patent number: 10069940
Abstract: For applications that are designed to operate across multiple computer environments, an application distribution service may store multiple different versions of application packages, the different versions being applicable to different computing environments. Application targeted metadata associated with the application packages may be utilized to quickly diagnose the applicability of the application packages to a client device with low bandwidth cost, and before any package distribution is commenced.

  • Patent number: 9965604
Abstract: Registration of an application in a per-user registration model includes the creation and storage of duplicate registration data for multiple user accounts present on a system. This duplication of registration data may be reduced by storing at least a portion of identical data in a per-machine location in the system memory where it is accessible to all user accounts. Instead of needing to separately re-compute and/or re-store duplicate registration data in multiple per-user locations in the memory, each user account may access and utilize the registration data stored in the per-machine location. Pre-computing and storing a portion of the application registration data in a per-machine location in the memory may also allow the system to defer the registration of the application.

  • Patent number: 8989929
Abstract: A device for reducing damage to an electric vehicle powered by a trailing cable, the device including an electric sensor for determining the mobile equipment's position relative to a hazard, and an electric controller responsive to the electrical means for operating a motor to change the operation of the electric vehicle to reduce the likelihood of adverse effects to the trailing cable if the electric vehicle's position is near the hazard.

  • Patent number: 6854664
Abstract: A diaphragm valve module is mounted in the lower end of the outer housing of a pop-up rotor type sprinkler for controlling the flow of water through an inlet in response to actuation of a valve actuator component. A resilient deformable semi-circular snap ring is mounted on top of the module and has a pair of opposing peripheral annular portions. Upon removal of the sprinkler riser, the snap ring can be disengaged from an annular groove formed in the interior wall of the outer housing by manually squeezing the annular portions together. This permits removal of the module for repair or replacement. The annular portions of the snap ring are formed with angled slots that receive projections that extend from the cover of the module to produce a camming movement that uniformly retracts the snap ring out of the annular groove to more readily permit removal of the module.

  • Patent number: 5388791
Abstract: The universal clipping retainer for engaging a bundle of tubular elements to a frame rail flange of a vehicle comprises first and second sections. The first section comprises structure to which a tubular bundle is engaged by means of a cable tie strap member, the strap member extending through openings in the section, extending around the bundle and engaging to itself. The second section is a clip engaged to one end of the first section, the clip comprising a plurality of fingers biased toward a centerline of the clip for engaging a frame rail flange therebetween, each of the fingers having barbs on a flange engaging surface thereof, with the barbs pointing away from free ends of the fingers.
