  • Patent number: 11957893
Abstract: A neuromodulation therapy is delivered via at least one electrode implanted subcutaneously and superficially to a fascia layer superficial to a nerve of a patient. In one example, an implantable medical device is deployed along a superficial surface of a deep fascia tissue layer superficial to a nerve of a patient. Electrical stimulation energy is delivered to the nerve through the deep fascia tissue layer via implantable medical device electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20040122641
Abstract: A system and method for chemical process design and process scale-up. In all embodiments, the system includes a mechanism for development of process topology for at least one chemical reaction, with the at least one chemical reaction comprising a recipe. In one embodiment, the system further includes a language handler for entry of the recipe. The language handler accepts textual information in free form for representation of the recipe. Such free form textual entry reflects the actual, or natural, language, used by chemists to describe laboratory processes, and is therefore very efficient and easy to use. In another embodiment, the at least one chemical reaction comprises a recipe for synthesizing at least one chemical product. The system also includes a mechanism whereby the development of the process topology includes the identification of one or more types of equipment necessary to manufacture the at least one chemical product using the recipe.

  • Patent number: 4349864
Abstract: A lighted plant stand (1) for holding a houseplant of the type which hangs or vines downwardly from the plant pot or extends outwardly therefrom. A base (2) adapted for placement on a floor, table or other supporting surface is provided with an upstanding central support (65) or a central cylinder (19), which may be provided with a reflective surface. A pot-like plant container (3) or flat plant holder (101) is spaced upwardly of the base (2). An outside cylinder member (4) is mounted on the outer edge of the base (2) and the plant container (3) rests on the upper end of the outside cylinder member (4). A pair of elongated fluorescent lights (13) are mounted between the base (2) and the plant container (3) between the outside cylinder member (4). The central cylinder (19) and the outside cylinder member (4) are formed with apertures for ventilating the lights (13). A circular fluorescent light (41) may be alternatively mounted in the stand (1), and the device may also be formed in a polygonal configuration.

  • Patent number: 4260095
Abstract: A clad product having predetermined closely-toleranced shape and dimensions. The product is made by first preforming a base material and a cladding of dissimilar material in dimensions substantially the same as the clad product, with at least the base or cladding being preformed with an additional dimensional profile. At least the cladding material is then heated to a solid-phase bonding temperature, achieved in one embodiment by laser-heating. The base material and cladding material are subsequently passed together through pressure rollers with application of a pressure for solid-phase bonding the cladding material against the base material to form the clad product. The bonding pressure of the rollers deforms the preformed additional dimensional profile to compensate for non-uniform material flow in the respective base or cladding material during solid-phase bonding for obtaining the predetermined closely-toleranced shape and dimensions of the clad product.
