Abstract: An infinitely variable phase adjuster for e.g. adjusting internal combustion piston engine valve timing by selecting the relative rotational positions of the engine crankshaft and a camshaft of the engine. Control is effected by adjusting a "lock" volume of oil on one side of a pressure fluid operable member displaceable to shift the phase.

Abstract: A pouring adaptor to be secured to the discharge end of a container or the like comprising a generally cylindrical skirt portion having a bead at its lower terminal edge for detachably securing it to the container finish and a radially inwardly directed top portion which snugly seats on the axial end face of the container. The top portion has a frusto-conical outer face which is outwardly divergent from its inner peripheral edge and a reversely tapered flexible flange which is downwardly divergent from the juncture of the frusto-conical outerface and flange.

Abstract: A linerless bottle cap having a plurality of resilient concentric sealing rings for abutment with the annular rim about the incipient mouth of the neck of a bottle in sealing the mouth thereof, preferably two concentric sealing rings, the concentric sealing rings being preferably of scalene cross section having a curvilineal depending vertex comprising the sealing lip thereof and in which the outer face thereof extends from the top portion of the cap at an acute angle toward the inner diameter of the skirt thereof, the outermost of the concentric sealing rings being the longer and the others being stepped progressively shorter from the outermost to the innermost thereof, the concentric sealing rings being spaced apart for abutment of the confronting faces thereof on tightening of the cap on the bottle, the confronting faces of the concentric sealing rings having a common terminus adjacent joinder thereof to the top portion of the cap.

Abstract: A pouring adaptor adapted to be mounted over the open end in a container for liquid products comprising a central disc portion having a locking rib for securing the adaptor over the discharge opening in the container, a lower section depending into the container having a plurality of window-like discharge openings of a size and shape to control discharge of fluid therethrough and an upper generally cylindrical head section terminating in an outwardly flared lip and having flange members for detachably securing the adaptor to a closure.
