    Abstract: The pointing device mainly contains a fingerprint sensor capable of capturing continuous images of the fingerprint of a user's finger when the finger is moved across a sensing area of the fingerprint sensor. From these continuous images, the pointing device is able to calculate the direction and speed of the movement of the finger. These pieces of information are then passed to a host computer system, which in turn adjusts the position of a cursor shown on a display device.

    Abstract: A device for controlling position-marking by finger print is disclosed. The device comprises a housing having an image-accessing window on the surface thereof used as a sensing area, an IC control and a finger print sensor at the corresponding position of the imaging-accessing window for obtaining finger print pixel of the sensing area, characterized in that in combination with the IC control, the finger print sensor obtains continuous pixels of the finger prints of the user at a low resolution in the course of displacement of the finger prints at the sensing area for position marking.

    Abstract: An operation method of a re-inquiry system includes providing a PDA containing a software program so that, by control of the software program, the PDA directly links an auto server of a library database simultaneously via a wireless communication network to compare, search and re-inquire a whole updated information of the library database instantaneously without having to download the whole updated information of the library database onto the memory of the PDA so as to compare, search and re-inquire the whole updated information of the library database quickly and exactly. Thus, the PDA can compare, search and re-inquire the whole updated-information of the library database instantaneously with that of a book, thereby greatly saving the manual work and the searching time.
