  • Publication number: 20170151900
Abstract: A device for controlling the color of polychromatic light produced by a conversion element adapted to convert a beam emitted by a monochromatic source into polychromatic light. First sensing means and second sensing means are placed so as to intercept some of the polychromatic light re-emitted by the conversion element. The sensor means are respectively sensitive to the wavelength (?1) of the beam emitted by the source and a second wavelength (?2) different from the wavelength of the beam. Calculation means are adapted to establish a relation (?) between signals (S1, S2) representing the amount of light received by the respective sensors and a control module supplies at least one instruction to the source and/or the conversion element to modify the operation thereof so as to modify the relation.

  • Publication number: 20170045191
Abstract: An optical device comprising: an optical element for converting wavelength formed from a first optical medium having a first refractive index. The converter element receives an incident light beam at a first face and converts it into a converted light beam. The reflective optical element, positioned on a second face of the converter is configured to reflect the converted light beam. The optical device comprises a primary optical element formed from a second optical medium having a second refractive index substantially identical to the first refractive index. A first face of the primary optical element being positioned in proximity to the first face of the converter element, the primary optical element receives the incident light beam and transmits it to the converter. A second face of the primary optical element forms an output face for outputting the converted light beam to minimize parasitic reflections of the converted light beam off itself.

  • Publication number: 20160273729
Abstract: A lighting and/or signaling module for an automobile vehicle, the module comprising a light source e, a reflecting surface and a toroidal lens. The reflecting surface is calculated in such a manner that the rays coming from the module, reflected then transmitted by the lens, are perpendicular to and encounter a circular arc A. This geometry of the outgoing rays endows them with a toroidal wavefront which allows the principle of constancy and of reversibility of the light path (Fermat's principle) to be applied and, consequently, a straightforward calculation of the reflecting surface. The beam thus produced can notably provide a daytime running light or, alternatively, a direction indicator function. The module may comprise another lighting function of the high-beam type using another portion of the lens.
