  • Patent number: 4875475
Abstract: The device comprises an intramedullar nail adapted to be driven into a hollow bone. The proximal terminal nail segment comprises an internal thread and a transversely penetrating longitudinal slot adapted to receive a screw to penetrate through the nail and to be screw-connected with the bone. The distal terminal nail segment comprises two transversely throughgoing holes each adapted to receive a screw to be screw-connected with the bone. An adjusting means comprises a bolt as adjusting member provided with an external thread screwed directly into the internal thread of the nail, or screwed into the internal thread of an insert in turn screwed into the internal thread of the nail, the bolt being adapted to be brought into direct or indirect engagement with the screw transversely penetrating through the longitudinal slot. By turning the bolt the screw may be pressed toward the distal end of the nail and displaced toward the same.

  • Patent number: 4714076
Abstract: Bone-setting device comprises two elongated holders which are joined by an elongated connecting link. Pins which can be screwed into bone elements are held in each holder in such a manner that they can be rotated around their axis, moved along that axis, and clamped. At least one holder comprises spherical guiding bodies, each of which holds a pin in such a manner that the pin can be pivoted in space. The connecting link comprises a sleeve and a stud which is held in the sleeve in such a manner that it can be shifted in the axial direction and pivoted, and which, in order to generate a force which presses the bone elements against each other, can, by means of a tensioning screw inserted in it, be pulled against one end of sleeve and clamped in various pivoting and sliding positions by means of a clamping screw. The device offers many adjusting possibilities for setting the bone elements but is, nevertheless, very rigid in the clamped state and also relatively small and easy to handle.

  • Patent number: 4640983
Abstract: A conductor device having at least one spiral which is formed from at least one conductor, each conductor consisting of wires which are stranded together to form a bundle. In addition, the wires belonging to a conductor can all consist of the same material or of different materials, one of which has a large breaking strength and the other one having high electric conductivity. The conductor device can connect, for example, in a heart pacemaker, the contact electrode inserted in the heart with an electric pulse generator. The conductor device provides a relatively high electric conductance with great flexibility, expandability, breaking strength and, in particular, fatigue resistance.
