  • Patent number: 11937658
Abstract: A sports helmet has: a shell; a face protector; and a face mask disposed on an inner side of the face protector, the face mask having a body overlapping a nose and a mouth and defining a volume between the face and the body, the body defining a top edge for engaging the face and a bottom edge opposed to the top edge and disposed proximate a chin, the bottom edge secured to a lower portion of the face protector at a location spaced apart from the face to define a gap therebetween, and lateral straps secured to one or both of the face protector and the shell for biasing the top edge against the face of the wearer, the body made of a material offering a flow resistance such that an exhalation flow from the wearer is deviated towards the gap and away from the face protector.

  • Publication number: 20070064428
Abstract: An LED (light emitting diode) light bar assembly is comprised of an elongated casing having an elongated cavity of substantially U-shape cross-section. The casing has a base wall, opposed side walls and an elongated open end between the side walls. One or more elongated heat sink LED modules each having two or more LEDs and electrical component parts thereof are retained in each of the modules. The LEDs are exposed in a spaced-apart relationship in a common wall of the modules. The casing is configured to removably receive and retain one or more of the modules therein in end-to-end relationship. The casing defines in combination with the one or more modules, at least one internal channel for the passage of wiring which is non-visible exteriorly of the module. At least one end connector is detachably securable to an end of the casing for securing the casing to a support structure. The connector has an internal passage for receiving wiring from the modules retained in the casing.

  • Patent number: 6383376
Abstract: A filter comprises a main tank and at least two separate beds of particulate filter media contained in respective conical recipients integrated within the main tank so as to minimize the overall height and weight of the filter. A transport pipe is provided for each conical recipient in order to transport dirty filter media therefrom to a washing device in which the dirty filter media is washed as it flows downwardly in counter-current with a wash liquid. A filter media return pipe is provided for each conical recipient in order to return the cleaned filter media therein. The provision of multiple transport pipes and return pipes ensures efficient distribution of the filter media within the filter.

  • Patent number: 5297607
Abstract: The curtain consists of a single, translucent, yet untransparent fabric sheet, hung to sliders carried by a track, the latter track anchored in horizontal position against a vertical wall above a window frame. A cord at the end of the track operates the sliders to both slide the curtain sheet lengthwisely of the track, to fold/unfold in accordeon like the curtain sheet for extending/retracting same, as well as tilt the sliders about their vertical axes, as with a vertical blind actuating mechanism. The drape has a wavy configuration, whereby as the sliders are pivoted by the control cord, the amount of light traversing the drapes will adjustably vary in a progressive fashion. Each slider includes a cardboard plate, lodged into a pocket made at the top edge portion of the drapes, and releasably engaged by a slider hook.

  • Patent number: 4228980
Abstract: A bracket and a system adapted to hang a curtain and, in particular, a valance to advantageously provide for easy and neat installation, to effectively conceal the head and the space at the top of a curtain and to even conceal the bracket itself. This bracket is formed of a resilient strip bent to define a hook portion and a fixing portion with the hook portion having a pair of spaced-apart upright portions and the fixing portion outwardly projecting from the upper end of one upright portion away from the other upright portion to be fixed to a ceiling. This curtain hanger system includes a flat bar securable lengthwise along the head of a curtain or valence and one or more of the defined brackets, such that the flat bar operatively engages laterally edgewise between the upright portions to be clamped by the latter with its upper edge bearing against the ceiling.
