Publication number: 20230106808Abstract: A method is for installing a ceiling system attached to a structural ceiling surface. The method includes illuminating, in sequence and by a projector, different subsets of a set of optical sensors separately arranged in a known distribution pattern on the structural ceiling surface. Each optical sensor of the set of optical sensors is arranged to output a temporal signal indicative of a level of illumination. The method also includes determining an image plane relative to the projector based on the known distribution pattern of the set of optical sensors and the outputted temporal signals of each of the optical sensors, and displaying, by the projector, an image indicative of installation locations of the ceiling system at the image plane.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2021Publication date: April 6, 2023Applicant: SAINT-GOBAIN ECOPHON ABInventors: Frederic ACHARD, Christopher COAT, Pierre CHIGOT

Patent number: 11111671Abstract: The claimed invention describes a method of preparing an installation of a 3-dimensionally extending false ceiling or wall. The claimed method includes calculating format, position and orientation for each individual flat tile in the suspended ceiling or wall, associating each individual flat tile with a unique tile identity, producing the individual flat tiles according to the calculated format, providing respective flat tile with the tile identity of respective tile, and providing a representation of the 3-dimensionally extending suspended ceiling or wall including an association of the position of respective flat tile with respective tile identity.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2015Date of Patent: September 7, 2021Assignee: SAINT- GOBAIN ECOPHON ABInventors: Pierre Chigot, Emma Arvidsson

Patent number: 10640974Abstract: The present invention relates to a surface forming system intended to be supported by a structural ceiling and/or a wall of a room. The surface forming system comprises a first tile and a second tile, each tile comprising a front major surface, an opposing back major surface and at least one edge surface extending along the perimeter of the tile and connecting the front and back major surfaces, a first connecting member and a second connecting member, each comprising a tile connector and a pivot connector, wherein the tile connector of the first connecting member and the second connecting member are connected to the first tile and the second tile, respectively, and wherein the pivot connector of the first and the second connecting members are pivotably connected to each other such that the tiles are foldable relative each other. The invention further relates to a method for installation of a surface forming system supported by a structural ceiling and/or wall of a room.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2016Date of Patent: May 5, 2020Assignee: SAINT-GOBAIN ECOPHON ABInventors: Pierre Chigot, Emma Arvidsson

Patent number: 5484168Abstract: A label assembly includes a backing of release material, a main label of label stock with adhesive substantially covering the bottom face of the main label, and first and second die cuts formed in the main label and backing respectively. The first die cut defines a secondary label within the main label, and the second die cut forms a first removable segment of the backing which overlaps the first die cut. The adhesive exerts a greater force on the first removable segment than does the rest of the backing so that when the main label is removed from the backing the first removable segment detaches from the backing and remains with the main and secondary labels. A tab integral with and extending outwardly from the secondary label is also exterior of the main label. When the main label is applied to a package, the secondary label does not stick to the package because of the presence of the first removable segment of the backing.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 1993Date of Patent: January 16, 1996Assignee: Moore Business Forms, Inc.Inventor: Pierre Chigot
