  • Patent number: 11047841
Abstract: The present detector comprises a detection level and an electronic level. The detection level comprises at least one of a smoke detection sensor, a carbon monoxide sensor and a temperature sensor. The at least one smoke detection sensor, carbon monoxide sensor and temperature sensor generate a detected measure. The electronic level includes an alarm module, a communication module and a processor. The alarm module generates at least one of an audible alarm signal or a visual alarm signal. The communication module wirelessly communicates with a monitoring central station. The processor receives the detected measure, compares the detected measure with a predetermined threshold, actuates the alarm module when the detected measure is above the predetermined threshold and generates a message to be wirelessly communicated to the monitoring central station by the communication module, the message including the detected measure and a unique identifier of the detector.

  • Patent number: 11043110
Abstract: Detector and method providing locating capabilities. A sound capture module of the detector captures sound in a vicinity of the detector and generates a digitalized captured sound based on the captured sound. The detector generates a digital sound message, including a unique identifier of the detector, from the digitalized captured sound. A wireless communication module of the detector wirelessly communicates the digital sound message with the unique identifier of the detector, to a monitoring station. The sound capture module comprises a digital microphone, or alternatively an analog microphone and an analog to digital converter. The detector also receives a remotely captured sound from another detector. The detector generates and wirelessly transmits a digital sound message based on the remotely captured sound to the monitoring station, or compares an amplitude of the remotely captured sound with an amplitude of a locally captured sound generated by the sound capture module.

  • Patent number: 9473301
Abstract: Techniques for temporal quantum key distribution between at least a first entity and a second entity include measuring an arrival time of each of a plurality of photons within each of a set of time frames. The arrival time can correspond to one of the plurality of time bins within the time frame. Measuring can occur in a randomly selected one of at least two mutually unbiased bases. The mutually unbiased bases can include a basis corresponding to a measurement with dispersion and a basis corresponding to a measurement without dispersion. The randomly selected basis for each time frame can be communicated, via a classical communications channel. A quantum key can be generated from the time bins corresponding to the arrival time of photons within at least some of the time frames for which the randomly selected basis is consistent between the first and the second entity.

  • Patent number: 5611574
Abstract: A golf scorecard for keeping score of the game of golf and automatically totalling a player's score without the need of a writing instrument. The scorecard has one or more series of consecutive numbers printed thereon along a predetermined pattern. Each of the numbers is concealed by formation made of a coating of opaque material adherable to the scorecard and capable of being removed by scraping a rubbing same to reveal the number thereunder. When in use, a user scrappes only those formations indicative a score made on each consecutive hole of a game of golf by adding consecutive formations from the last scraped formation until it totals his score on every hole. The numbers identified under the formations that are scraped reveal his cumulative total score at each consecutive hole of the game of golf. In particular, the scorecard is for use with a miniature golf putting course.

  • Patent number: 5516109
Abstract: A modular golf putting platform is comprised of at least two platform sections interconnected together at abutment ends. Each platform section or semi-integral section without the carpet glued to the top wall has opposed side walls, end walls, and a top wall having an upper putting surface. A cup for receiving a golf ball is mounted under a hole formed in the upper putting surface of at least one of the platform sections. Support brackets are detachably secured to a lower edge of the side walls for supporting the platform sections on a support surface. A bracket connecting element is provided for interconnecting the brackets, and therefore the platform sections. The support brackets have height adjusting elements to align the upper putting surface of adjacent platform sections in a substantially common plane.

  • Patent number: 5478076
Abstract: A golf putting amusement system which comprises a plurality of putting platforms each having a putting deck with a golf ball area at one end and which may have a golf ball support tee extending above the top surface of the deck. A golf cup area is provided at an opposed end of the deck. Grass simulation means is provided on the top surface of the putting deck. A golf cup having an open top end is removably secured under the putting area at the golf cup area, with the top end being opened in the top surface. The cup is fabricated such as to induce laughter to a player person when a golf ball touches, enters, or is retrieved from the cup. The tees also provide laughter inducement. The platforms are prefabricated platforms and disposed in a specific orientation with respect to one another. The platforms may be interchanged at the playing site or with other playing sites.
