  • Patent number: 7128272
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing an article (1) comprising a sheet (2) and at least one element (4) having a certain thickness, comprising the following steps: providing a sheet (2) with at least one cavity (3) open on one side; placing said element in this cavity (3) by applying, to said side, a structure (5) comprising at least one layer carrying the element, said structure being positioned with respect to the sheet (2) so that the element (4) is at least partly housed in the cavity (3).

  • Publication number: 20060065670
Abstract: A packaging device may include a plurality of packaging elements. Each of the packaging elements may include at least one unit of a product. The packaging units may be fixed to each other or contained in a single outer container. The packaging device may also include a plurality of safety elements belonging to the packaging elements or fixed to them. The safety elements positioned so as to allow the combined dispensing of at least one packaging element and at least one safety element.

  • Publication number: 20050244720
Abstract: The invention concerns a security document comprising, as security element against recto/verso copying, indicia present on both sides and capable of being viewed under reflected lighting and forming an image capable of being viewed under transmitted light. The invention is characterized in that said indicia comprise lines and form said image with 3D effect.

  • Patent number: 6402888
Abstract: A method for making a paper sheet comprising at least one region which is thinner than the rest of the sheet. According to the method, a first paper layer (3) is formed on a wire in a first wet end of a paper-making machine, a second paper layer (5) is formed on a wire in a second wet end of the paper-making machine, one of the two paper layers has a number of localized tinner regions (8) so that the thickness (e2) of said paper layers in said regions is up to 50% less than the thickness (et) of the rest of the sheet, and the two layers are joined together and dried. The resulting paper may be used in banknotes or checks.

  • Patent number: 5992741
Abstract: A method for detecting the presence of magnetic elongated particles in a substrate the base material of which has magnetic properties substantially differing from the corresponding magnetic properties of the elongated particles. The elongated particles have such a long and thin form that their demagnetisation factor N is smaller than 1/250, they have a diameter smaller than 30 micrometer and a magnetic saturation field greater than 100 A/m.

  • Patent number: 5486928
Abstract: A new process for making an embossing punch comprises the steps of: (a) the values of an image are put into numeric form; and, (b) the punch is automatically and directly engraved. The numeric image is converted into continuous control values for a path of an engraving tool over a continuous surface and the level curves of said surface are plotted to provide the continuous engraving path. One possible application is embossing fabrics for the manufacture of watermarked paper.
