The inner face (20) and the bottom are spread apart one from the other and separated by one or more abutments (60, 61, 62) so as to create a stable support for the insert (2) in the recess (4) and to form a substantially-uniform thickness of glue (e) between the inner face (20) and the bottom (40) of the recess.

Abstract: A golf club comprising a shaft made of a composite material with a head (2) at its lower end and a grip (3) at its upper end. The shaft comprises three distinct sections, namely (a) a first, upper tapered portion (12a) covered by the grip, (b) a second, lower portion (12b) extending to the lower portion (10) of the shaft, and (c) a third connecting portion attaching the first to the second portions. The diameter (d1) of the section of the lower end of the first portion (12a) is smaller than the diameter (d2) of the section of the upper end of the second portion (12b).

Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting the longitudinal position of a safety binding of a ski including a base plate attached to the binding and adapted to longitudinally slide in a guide on the ski. The base plate has a plurality of teeth adapted to engage a plurality of notches in the guide. Also provided is an apparatus for locking the teeth in the guide including a locking lever, a locking cam, and an elastic bearing. The locking lever is pivotally attached to the base plate by a first journal. The cam includes a second journal pivotally mounted on the base plate to rotate between locked and unlocked positions. Either the first or second journal is housed in the elastic bearing. Rotation of the cam from the unlocked to the locked position rotates the locking lever to displace the teeth into the notches and longitudinally displaces the journal housed in the elastic bearing, thereby compressing the bearing and biasing the teeth against displacement out of the notches.

Abstract: A monoski brake comprising:(a) a plurality of brake elements each adapted to assume an active position in which they each extend downwardly below the lower plane of the monoski, and an inactive position in which they are each at a level above the lower plane of the monoski;(b) inactivation apparatus for inactivating all of the brake elements by moving the brake element from the active position to the inactive position; andwherein the inactivation apparatus is adapted to inactivate more than one of the brake elements simultaneously.
