  • Publication number: 20080258331
Abstract: A method for making an abrasive article is disclosed. An exemplary embodiment comprises positioning particles of abrasive agglomerate (10) in at least a portion (8) of an abrasive article mould (2), injecting molten thermoplastic binder resin into the abrasive article mould (2) and allowing the thermoplastic binder resin to cool such that the particles or abrasive agglomerate (10) are secured within the thermoplastic binder resin.

  • Publication number: 20040202812
Abstract: The present invention relates to a photoluminescent adhesive tape comprising a photolumninescent agent, two exposed adhesive layers and an intermediate backing layer. The invention also describes a method for using such an adhesive tape that allows recognition of an adhesive tape on a substrate by exposing the adhesive tape to electromagnetic radiation and detecting a responsive radiation with a photocell. By utilizing this method, the invention offers a method for attachment of two substrates to one another which is of improved reliability and efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6740379
Abstract: The present invention provides an adhesive tape for laminating a first substrate to a second substrate, wherein the adhesive tape includes a carrier having on a first major surface a first adhesive layer and having on a second major surface opposite to the first major surface in the order given a non-tacky polymer layer and a second adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive tape is capable of being adhered to the first substrate by the first adhesive layer and to the second substrate by the second adhesive layer. The adhesive tape is capable of delamination between the carrier and the non-tacky polymer layer when the first and second substrate are peeled away from each other so as to leave the carrier on the first substrate and the non-tacky polymer layer on the second substrate with a major surface of the non-tacky polymer layer or the carrier. The non-tacky polymer layer and carrier are not co-extruded layers.

  • Patent number: 6432241
Abstract: Splicing tape for splicing a leading edge portion of a roll of sheet material to a further sheet comprising a carrier layer having on a first major surface a first adhesive layer and on a second major surface opposite to the first major surface in the order given a non-tacky polymer layer and a second adhesive layer. The splicing tape being capable of delamination between the carrier layer and the non-tacky polymer layer when preparing the splice.
