  • Publication number: 20090320538
Abstract: Method for controlling the locking of an electronic lock (5), including the following steps: a user (4) is identified vis-à-vis the electronic lock, the electronic lock (5) displays a question, the user transmits the question to a central station (1), the central station computes the answer to the question and transmits this answer to the user, the user enters the answer in the lock, the lock verifies whether the response is correct and decides according to this answer whether to unlock the door a receipt code is displayed by the lock (5) and transmitted by the user to the central station (1) with the aid of the mobile equipment (3).

  • Publication number: 20060070838
Abstract: The locking device comprises a base element 1 and a locking means (3), such as a bolt, which is actuated by an electrical drive, movable relative to the base element between a locking position and a release position. The base element is movably linked to an intermediate element (2) with respect to which the locking means is movable by the electrical drive means, whereas the intermediate element (2) is movably linked to the base element (1) and movable relative to the base element against a resistance of a spring force. A switching means (6) is actuated by a displacement of the intermediate element relative to the base element, wherein the switching means is operable to stop the electrical drive. By this mechanism, it is assured that the electrical drive is automatically halted when the locking means is blocked due to an incident of failure or because it has reached its end position.

  • Patent number: 6608548
Abstract: The present invention relates to a control device (20) with redundancy for fitting to a lock having a mechanism (21) for locking an unlocking an access door, the device (20) being adapted to manage a change of state of this lock under predetermined conditions and to ensure that this state current is kept current up until the next change of state. This device (20) comprises means (30) for controlling the mechanism (21) and two units (31; 32) for providing like instructions to the control means. This device (20) is characterized in that the first unit (31) has a structure different from that of the second unit (32), while effecting common functions, and in that the control means behave functionally as an AND gate to the inputs of which are applied the instructions from the units respectively, when the device is functioning in a normal situation.

  • Patent number: 6434987
Abstract: A motorized security locking system which is intended to be placed on the door of a high security enclosure and whose operation is reliable and more compact. The motorized security locking system includes: a case (1); a sliding bolt (3) movable in translation between an “in” position and an “out” position, and including a front end face (37), a back end face (39), two lateral faces (41), first (43) and second (45) longitudinal faces; and a controller (5) for controlling the movement of the sliding bolt, and including a motor (21), an actuator for actuating the motor, and a cam and a lever (25, 27), for connecting the motor to the sliding bolt, to transmit the drive force from the motor (21) to the sliding bolt (3) and to assure the movement thereof. The motor (21) is a motor with a single rotational direction.

  • Patent number: 6434984
Abstract: A drive device for locking a conditionally opening lock, including a motor means (MT) comprising a drive element (36) having an axis of rotation (X1), a transmission arm (26) mounted about an axis of rotation (X2) distinct from the axis (X1), a locking block (PVI) connected mechanically to the arm (26) and adapted to occupy an active position (P1), to oppose the displacement of a bar, and an inactive position (P2) allowing displacement thereof, and elastic means (48) for putting the locking block (PVI) under bias, when the block's displacement is impeded by the bar, wherein the elastic means (48) are arranged between the drive element (36) and the transmission arm (26), these elastic means (48) being in direct driving contact with a coupling surface (54) of the transmission arm (26).

  • Patent number: 6130611
Abstract: The present invention concerns a locking system (31) for an entry door to a security enclosure arranged in an environment. This locking system includes a mechanism (33) able to command, in response to an instruction, the locking or unlocking of the entry door, storage means (43) able to contain reference data (X3) relating to a parameter (X) linked to the environment, and depending on the environment, and a processing unit (37) able to receive the reference data and parameter measurement data (X2) and, in response, to supply the command instruction. This arrangement gives the locking system autonomous control of the development of a parameter and centralised control of the locking and/or unlocking. The storage means (43) can be arranged to give the locking system the faculty of intelligent interpretation of the events and phenomena occuring during its daily operation.

  • Patent number: 6032499
Abstract: A device for lifting, in particular in the event of a breakdown or failure, the ban on the opening of a conditional opening locking system. This device includes: driving means (MT); a transmission member (28); and a blocking member (PVI) connected to the driving means (MT) by the transmission member (28) and able to be actuated by the driving means (MT) to occupy an active position (P1) in which the blocking member opposes the movement of a bar, and an inactive position (P2) in which the blocking member authorizes the movement thereof, the device including de-activation means (54, 64, 66) provided for freeing the transmission member (28) and authorizing the release of the blocking member (PVI) from the blocking member's active position (P1). The device is applicable in particular to a conditional opening locking system and particularly to a time lock.
