  • Patent number: 5648037
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a closing device constituted by a tapped closing device and a tamper-proof ring inlcuding, on the one hand, an annular joining strip with controlled deformation and, on the other hand, an inner annular projection. A preforming of the tamper-proof ring is effected:by axially introducing in said device a cylindrical mandrel which is provided with an annular peripheral cam such that the lower face of the inner annular projection comes into abutment against said cam, thenby exerting on said device and/or on the mandrel a bearing effort whose force is sufficient to ensure a relative stroke of the mandrel in the device in contact with the cam up to a preforming position maintained for a determined time so as jointly to produce an outward bending of the strip with controlled deformation and a remanent deflection towards the closing device of the inner annular projection so that its upper face remains inclined by an angle with respect to the normal to the axis of the device.

  • Patent number: 5402901
Abstract: A closure device for a recipient with a threaded neck. It includes a tapped closure having a lower part attached to a guarantee strip by a zone of connection of low mechanical resistance, the strip presenting an elastically-deformable, inner, annular bead adapted to clip beneath a holding flange formed on a lower periphery of the neck by forced screwing of the closure; and an outer peripheral boss axially separated from the bead by a zone of controlled elastic deformation, an upper face of the boss and a lower edge of a lateral wall of the closure having formed therein, respectively, at least one tooth and at least one notch, the tooth being intended to be temporarily received in the notch during screwing when the bead is in abutment with the holding flange in order to avoid any relative rotational displacement of the closure with respect to the strip and to ensure clipping without deteriorating the zone of connection.

  • Patent number: 5301849
Abstract: A spout and sealing cap assembly for a container which includes a spout which is connectable to the container, a sealing cap for closing off a dispensing opening in the spout and a bi-stable hinge integrally formed with the sealing cap. The bi-stable hinge maintains the cap only in one of two stable positions, an open position and a closed position. The spout is formed as a first one-piece plastic part with an undercut profile connection portion. The sealing cap is also formed as a second one-piece plastic part with an undercut profile connection portion spaced from the bi-stable hinge. The plastic of the spout is a formed of a more flexible plastic than that of the sealing cap. The bi-stable hinge is formed integrally with the sealing cap and, thus, also is formed of the relatively rigid, hard plastic.

  • Patent number: 5228592
Abstract: A spout and sealing cap assembly for a container which contains a product such as a liquid or pasty product. The container includes a nick closed off by a lid that must be pierced for dispensing the product. The assembly includes a spout with a body that is fixed to the neck. The spout also includes a hollow piercing and dispensing element provided with sharp edges designed to pierce the lid. The element is suspended inside the body by a deformable annular bulged membrane which enables the piercing element to assume an upper position and a lower position wherein the sharp edges extend below the ruptured lid. The spout body is covered by a sealing cap which assumes either an open or a closed position. The cap includes a sealing member extending of a top section of the cap. When the cap is closed, the sealing member is designed for insertion in sealing fashion within the hollow element or in a fitting and sealing relationship about the hollow element both when the element is in the upper and the lower position.
