  • Patent number: 11927863
Abstract: A device for modulating the phase of a light beam includes a matrix of elementary cells, called pixels, coupled to a circuit for addressing the pixels, the device further comprising a set of so-called lateral electrodes extending in a so-called vertical direction (Y) at right angles to the alignment direction (Xa) and configured to apply, for each pixel and via at least two lateral electrodes, a so-called acceleration voltage generating a lateral electrical field (Era) substantially parallel to the alignment direction, in a vector allowing an accelerated return of the liquid crystal molecules to their orientation of rest, the acceleration voltage being configured to be applied in a phase called acceleration relaxation phase, when the activation voltage is no longer applied.

  • Patent number: 10561971
Abstract: A solid-liquid separator for separating a solid phase from a liquid phase in a solid-liquid mixture is provided. The solid-liquid separator includes a basket and filter assembly housed coaxially within a tank such that when the basket and filter assembly rotates the liquid phase moves through the filter of the basket and filter assembly into the tank and is discharged from the solid-liquid separator. The solid phase is retained on the filter of the basket and filter assembly and travels vertically up the filter of the basket and filter assembly where it is discharged from the solid-liquid separator.

  • Patent number: 6030532
Abstract: This centrifugal apparatus comprises a primary frusto-conical filter screen rotating about a vertical axis, which is closed at its smaller diameter end and which is surrounded at its larger diameter upper end by a flat horizontal imperforate ring. A secondary cylindrical filter screen is fixed to and upstands from the periphery of the flat imperforate ring. The solid-liquid mixture is fed to the bottom of the primary filter screen and moves up under centrifugal force, the liquid being filtered and discharged into a surrounding casing. The solids move onto the ring and the liquid is further filtered through the secondary filter screen which retains the solids, being cylindrical. After the desired humidity content of the solids is reached, a scraper is lowered onto the ring to scrape the surface of the same and also the inner surface of the cylindrical secondary filter screen to remove the solids.

  • Patent number: 5806240
Abstract: A system for supplying dripping water to plant growing media comprises at least one water container and a support to hold the container upright over the soil to be watered. The support consists of a body having a soil engaging lower part and a water controlling upper part. A flexible tube is connected to a water passage provided in the upper part of the body. A screw is operated to compress the inner tube to control water passage in the tube and, consequently, the dripping rate of the water to the soil.

  • Patent number: 4294369
Abstract: The a fluid-tight receptacle comprises a container with a neck portion, a cup-shaped member tightly engaged within the neck portion, a cap threadedly engaged with the neck portion, a resilient liner inside the cap, and a float member slidably and concentrically mounted within the cup-shaped member; the float member has a cup portion so dimensioned as to lie within the cup-shaped member so that tight engagement of the cap to the neck portion forces the rim of the cup-shaped member to sink in the resilient liner of the cap; this prevents fluid leakage from the container during transport or as a result of accidental tip of the container.
