  • Publication number: 20240011780
Abstract: This disclosure describes a vehicle-icon-animation system that determines render orientations for rendering a vehicle icon to represent a public transportation vehicle traveling along a predicted route. For example, based on analyzing public transit information, the disclosed systems can determine render orientations corresponding to locations of a public transportation vehicle along a predicted route. In addition, the disclosed systems can render (or cause a client device to render) a vehicle icon to portray the public transportation vehicle pointing in different render orientations at various locations along the predicted route. Further, the disclosed systems can update the vehicle icon to render it in a new location within a graphical map display based on updated public transit information.

  • Patent number: 9620991
Abstract: A power stealing circuit for stealing power to operate a control device is disclosed. In one illustrative embodiment, power may be periodically or intermittently diverted from a power source to a power stealing block. When power is diverted to the power stealing block, the power stealing block may steal power from the power source and store the stolen power on a storage device. The storage device may then provide operating power to a control device. In some embodiments, the power stealing block may include a first path for charging the storage device when a switch is ON, and a second path for charging the storage device when the switch is off. The switch may be switched OFF when, for example, when the voltage provided by the rectifier is greater than a threshold voltage, the voltage detected on the storage device is greater than a threshold value, and/or when a control signal from a controller disables the switch.

  • Patent number: 8441155
Abstract: A fan controller that is capable of switching power to a fan between an “on” state and an “off” state in accordance with one or more programmable schedule. In some cases, fan controller may be programmed to display one or more screens for setting one or more parameters of the fan controller by interacting with a first button and/or a second button. In some cases, when the controller is in an operating mode, depressing a first button, second button, and/or a third button may temporarily override the programmable schedule and, in some cases, override the programmable schedule for a programmable period of time.

  • Patent number: 8314517
Abstract: A wall mountable electric timer that is capable of switching power to a load between an “on” state and an “off” state in accordance with a programmable schedule. In some cases, the electric timer may be programmed such that a user can program the electric switch by interacting with only a first button and a second button of a user interface. Alternatively, or in addition, the electric switch may include a power stealing circuit, a series of setup menus, a visual indicator to indicate the operating state of the load, and/or a randomly generated schedule.

  • Patent number: 6596226
Abstract: A process for producing a thermoelectric material based on two or more elements selected in the group constituted by Bi, Sb, Te and Se, which process comprises: i. an alloying step wherein determined amounts of the elements Bi, Sb, Te or Se are mixed until an homogenous powdered alloy is obtained; ii. an extrusion step of the powdered homogenous alloy obtained in the preceding step. The elements Bi, Sb, Te or Se being preferably mechanically mixed in an homogenous powdered alloy. The thermoelectric material, which are obtainable by this process, exhibits improved thermoelectric and mechanical properties and are therefore suitable, for example, as cooler, as temperature stabilizer in a electronic device or as power generator.
