  • Patent number: 8844402
Abstract: A crank handle apparatus with a fold-away handle and a rotation locking mechanism. The apparatus includes an arm, a fold-away handle attached to a first end of the arm, and a crank wheel attached to a second end of the arm. The fold-away handle in a stored position can be moved to an operating position by un-folding the handle. The handle further includes a ring that can be pulled after un-folding the handle so that an index pin located inside the second end of the arm along a first axis enables rotation of the crank wheel along a second axis. The ring can be pulled to move the index pin along with the fold-away handle to secure the fold-away handle against folding back during operation of the crank handle apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4881624
Abstract: The invention relates to a dual-action angular anti-return device for a turnstile, comprising a drum fast to the turnstile, a fixed vee open facing the drum, a roller positioned between the vee and the drum and alternately wedgeable between the two faces of said vee and said drum, a support for the roller displaceable alternately by two electromagnets themselves energizable from a source. A capacitor is charged by the source on each energization of any one of the electromagnets and discharged into the other electromagnet as soon as said energization is interrupted, which then results in the desired unwedging of the roller.

  • Patent number: 4658940
Abstract: An angular non return device is provided associated with a turnstile (1) having an axis X and capable of acting at will in one or the other direction. This device comprises a drum of revolution (2) integral with the turnstile and coaxial therewith, a fixed vee (3) whose bisecting plane contains the axis X, a roller (4) interposed between the vee and the drum and mounted on a lever (5) so that it may be moved between a first end position in which it is locked by jamming between the drum and a face (3.sub.1) of the vee and a second end position in which it is locked by jamming between the drum and the other face (3.sub.2) of the vee, and electromagnetic elements (6 to 10) for urging the roller at will towards one or other of its two end positions. Portions (14, 15) of the drum are recessed so as to prevent locking of the turnstile in certain angular positions.

  • Patent number: 4370825
Abstract: It is a question of bringing resiliently and successively the arms of a turnstile to their position obstructing a passage to be controlled, and for this a rotary cam 1 in the shape of a star is used interlocked with the rotary assembly of the turnstile and a roller 2 resiliently applied against this cam.To avoid lifting-off between the roller and the cam, a second contact is used between a second roller 2 connected to the first roller or merging therewith and a second cam 10 connected to the first cam or merged therewith, the directions of application of the two roller-cam contacts being opposite. The invention applies to controlling access to urban rail networks.
