Abstract: Methods, systems and devices and computer readable medium are provided for viewing a virtual environment through of an optical system. The method includes determining a focus of the optical system configured to view the virtual environment and reconfiguring the optical system for viewing the virtual environment in response to the determining of the focus of the optical system. The method may further include modifying a rendering of the virtual environment in response to the reconfiguring of the optical system. Determining the focus of the optical system may determine at least one gaze direction of the user when using the optical system to view the virtual environment and determining at least one point in the virtual environment corresponding to the gaze direction of the user.
