Abstract: In a carding apparatus for fibrous material, of the type in which the staple fibres are fed by a feed roller to an introduction roller of a carding machine and are subjected to preliminary opening and impurity removal, at least one carding unit is provided along the path between the introduction cylinder and the carding cylinder. The carding unit comprises a removal knife at its inlet, a guide blade for the fibres at its exit, and a carding surface extending therebetween. The carding unit is position-adjustable in directions circumferential and radial to the introduction cylinder. The knife and blade can be adjusted independently in a prevalently radial direction to the introduction cylinder. Preferably two individually adjustable carding units are provided. Between the carding unit or units and the carding cylinder there is provided a mixing and homogenizing carding cylinder.

Abstract: An apparatus for opening and mixing staple cotton comprises two cotton supply chambers, having parallel vertical axes, at the bottom of each chamber being provided a first and a second opposite cooperating cylinders for gripping the cotton staples, and supplying the gripped staples to a respective cotton carding plate and cleaning blade.

Abstract: The mixer comprises cooperating devices for removing powder and not spinnable materials from a de-stapled textile material, and a plurality of adjoining vertical cells supplied with the fibre material to be processed and provided, at the bottom portions thereof, with rotary horizontal parallel toothed rollers, an opening cylinder being moreover arranged above these rollers cooperating with a grid communicating with a waste material collecting chamber, the cells opening, at the bottom portions thereof, on a horizontal channel for conveying the textile material to a further processing apparatus and being provided with means for removing not spinnable light material particles.

Abstract: The separator, provided for installation in conventional ducts for conveying spinnable material staples to staple processing apparatus has a suitable duct which, at the bottom, opens to a collecting chamber, between this collecting chamber and the duct there being arranged a device to convey textile material to be discarded in a single direction.

Abstract: The bale-breaker comprises a movable carriage which can slide along a supporting frame adapted for supporting the fibre bales with a slanted axis, the movable carriage bearing a take up carriage the longitudinal axis of which is perpendicular to the bale layer surface.

Abstract: The apparatus comprises an endless upward and downward displaceable conveyor belt mounted on a horizontal frame and supporting a plurality of evenly spaced gripping devices, the apparatus further including a bobbin bearing carriage which can be longitudinally displaced so as to be alternatively arranged near the flyer bearing frame and near the conveyor belt.

Abstract: The system comprises, downstream of a ribbon-lap machine, a cradle lifting device for taking up a lap roller from a lap roller collecting frame, a gripper taking up device being moreover provided which is adapted to remove a lap roller from the cradle lifting device and to load an empty roller on an empty roller collecting frame, the gripper taking up device being supported on a carriage slidable on a guide path so as to selectively reach a combing machine preselected from an assembly of combing machines in order to discharge the lap roller on a lap roller supplying frame while simultaneously taking up an empty roller.

Abstract: The gripping device comprises at least one gripper which can be inserted into the tube and is formed from two elements which are mobile axially one in the other and are provided with frusto-conical ends which cooperate in such a manner that the axial movement of the inner element causes the outer element to expand and to engage under pressure with the tube for the purpose of its replacement. Two friction discs supported in an axially mobile manner are associated with the gripper and are subjected to the action of a spring in order to press a lower support element of the discs against the tube in order to retain it and allow exact keying of the tube on to the rotary drive element. The device is particularly suitable for cops.

Abstract: A doffing carriage is mobile at the level of the flyer support bed of a roving frame, and carries cop and empty tube gripping elements which are orientatable between a vertical position and an oblique position. A peg conveyor loaded with empty tubes in a reverse zig-zag arrangement to that of the cop rotators is disposed at the level of a footboard. The cops, lowered on to an orientatable cop carrier, are gripped by the gripping elements in an oblique position, raised, disposed vertically and deposited on to the free pegs of the conveyor, proceeding from one end of the roving frame to the other. After moving the conveyor through one step, the gripping elements deposit the empty tubes on to the cop rotators by proceeding in the reverse direction. The same carriage loads the empty tubes on to the conveyor and unloads the cops from it at one end of the roving frame, while this latter is in operation.
