Abstract: An image blending method implemented by an image capturing device includes: focusing on a close foreground and capturing a first image; focusing on a distant background and capturing a second image; and blending the first image and the second image together to generate a composite image, in which the close foreground is from the close background of the first image and is set to an appropriate proportion and the distant background is from the distant background of the second image and is set to an appropriate proportion. The image capturing device is also provided.

Abstract: A method for exchanging information with a base station includes: communicating with the base station using electromagnetic waves with a first frequency; detecting a first connection request carried in the first electromagnetic; receiving the first connection request if the first connection request is detected; and receiving information carried in the electromagnetic waves with a second frequency that is higher than the first frequency from the base station. An apparatus for exchanging information with the base station is also disclosed.

Abstract: An expandable screen is for displaying display information according to a display mode command. The expandable screen includes a main screen, an extension screen, and a display controller. The extension screen pivotally connected to the main screen via a hinge. The display controller is for receiving the displaying information and the display mode command, and for controlling the main screen and the extension screen according to the display mode command. A mobile phone using the expandable screen, and a display controlling method are also disclosed.

Abstract: An energy saving method for an automobile is provided herein. The energy saving method includes: judging whether the automobile is stopped; starting a timer to measure and signal an end of a predetermined time interval by outputting an interrupt signal; and turning off an engine of the automobile in response to the interrupt signal. A related energy saving device is also provided.

Abstract: A malicious software prevention method is used for detecting malicious software and includes receiving data transmitted from a host machine or a mobile terminal and temporally storing the received data as temporary data in a random access memory; detecting malicious software by scanning the temporary data with malicious data definitions stored in a read only memory; cutting off a data connection between the host machine and the malicious software prevention apparatus or between the mobile terminal and the malicious software prevention apparatus if the malicious software is detected in the temporary data.

Abstract: A multiple adapter is used for assembling a plurality of flash drives. The multiple adapter includes a multiple expansion port, a detector, a file manager, and a controller. The multiple expansion port coupled to the flash drives. The detector is coupled to the multiple expansion port for detecting store information of the flash drives. The file manager is coupled to the multiple expansion port and the detector for receiving the store information and calculating total memory capacity and total spare capacity of the flash drives. The controller is used for controlling the detector and the file manager. A writing procedure and a reading procedure of an access method are also provided.

Abstract: A handheld device includes a first wireless transceiver and a second wireless transceiver. The first wireless transceiver is used for implementing normal communication. The second wireless transceiver is used for abnormal conditions. When the first wireless transceiver is used, the second wireless transceiver is disabled for saving electrical energy. The second wireless transceiver uses a different frequency from the first wireless transceiver. The second wireless transceiver can be used to establish a wireless link directly between the handheld device and a rescuing center without using base transceiver stations.
