  • Publication number: 20180102330
Abstract: A chip package having ESD protection and a method for making the chip are disclosed. The chip package includes a chip and a substrate. The chip includes a number of I/O pads each connected to a corresponding I/O contact via a first bonding wire. It also includes a number of ESD protective pads each connected to a corresponding ESD contact via a second bonding wire. Bonding wires connecting the ESD protective pads and the ESD contacts have vertexes closer to the top surface of the chip than the vertexes of the bonding wires connecting the I/O pads and the I/O contacts. Hence, a perfect ESD protection effect is achieved by leading the ESD through the bonding wires to the ESD contacts rather than via the I/O contacts.

  • Patent number: 9921395
Abstract: A reflective optics system that requires the presence of both convex and a concave mirrors that have beam reflecting surfaces. Application thereof achieves focusing of a beam of electromagnetic radiation with minimized effects on a polarization state of an input beam state of polarization that results from adjustment of angles of incidence and reflections from the various mirrors involved. This invention is also a combination of a focusing element and a filtering element that provides an optimum electromagnetic beam cross-sectional area based on optimizing the beam cross-sectional area in view of conflicting effects of aberration and diffraction inherent in said focusing element, which, for each wavelength, vary oppositely to one another with electromagnetic beam cross-sectional area.

  • Publication number: 20180012182
Abstract: Known computer peripheral devices are typically interchangeable and can be used with different computers systems and platforms. Most computer operating systems are able to automatically configure the coupled computer peripheral device for use with the computer operating system without the need for installation of a specific driver. However, when these peripheral devices are detected by the computer system, a generic UI control configuration is often assigned to them and whatever customised settings previously configured by the user will be lost and replaced with a new set of unfamiliar settings. The present technology is a collaboration management system initiating a collaboration session for a plurality of computing systems having user-interfaces (UIs) coupled thereto.
