    Abstract: A keyboard module is disclosed, which comprises: a keyboard; a first connecting cable; a second connecting cable; and a switch unit; wherein, the first connecting cable is arranged extending out from the keyboard and is connected to a connector of the switch unit, while the second connecting cable is also connected to the connector for electrically connecting the first connecting cable to the second connecting cable; and the second connecting cable is formed with a predefined length and shape that is specifically designed for connecting the same to a main circuit board. Thereby, the keyboard can be connected to different main circuit boards with different circuit layouts simply by changing the shape and length of its second connecting cable for mating with the design of the main circuit board that is to be connected without any other alteration in its specification, so that the universality of the keyboard is enhanced.

    Abstract: A case of an extending base for an electronic device includes a body, a cover, and at least two link elements. The body has a hollow. The cover is disposed aside the hollow. Each link element has a first pivot part, a first block part, a second pivot part, and a first elastic member. The first pivot part has a first end pivoted on the body and a second end connected to the first block part. The second pivot part has a first end pivoted on the cover and a second end connected to the first block part. The first elastic member provides a force to push the first block part from a first position to a second position so as to correspondingly push the cover. Herein, when the first block part is positioned at the first position, the first block part is separated from the body and the cover covers the body. In addition, when the first block part is positioned at the second position, the first block part is in contact with the body and the cover is separated from the body.

Extending across a top side opening of the base housing is a keyboard assembly which may be removed from the top side of the base housing. The removed keyboard assembly may be vertically supported on a rear portion of the base housing, to permit access to the base housing through its now exposed top side opening, by means of tabs formed on a rear side edge of the keyboard support plate structure and removably insertable in corresponding vertically extending slots in the top side wall of the base housing. This vertical support of the removed keyboard assembly prevents it from being misplaced, reduces the potential for damaging it by laying it aside on an adjacent work space area, holds the vertically supported keyboard assembly away from the display screen to prevent the keyboard assembly from scratching it.

The ribbon cable is provided with a transverse restraining strip that is secured to the ribbon cable longitudinally inwardly of its terminating end and has a pair of outwardly projecting end portions. The housing is formed with engaging grooves for removably receiving these outwardly projecting end portions of the restraining strip.
